So yeah, a massive pile of snow is forecast meaning the nation will panic and grind to a hault. Will the game be cancelled Saturday as a result?
Would you be happy to see it cancelled?
On the one hand, we would have more time to get players back from injury and bring in 'one or two' new players. On the other, it means it will be put back to a random Tuesday or Wednesday and mean 2 games in a week.

Don't need a backlog of games though, and end up playing them with weakened teams due to having to stretch our already stretched squad.

Don't think ski's will help much on 8 feet of snow.

With all the negative **** happening I'd welcome a cancellation. Especially with reading playing on the back of a good win.

ACS - at least snow is better than the fog Consett regularly has. It's due to stay 0 or below until a week on Saturday.

My sisters dog loves being taken out for a walk when I visit, but I think even she would stick her nose out of the door and go back to her nice warm bed.

Transport might be an issue... GoNorthEast can be awful on the best of days...

However, I think the team would do better if we played and I really want to go to a Newcastle game. Reading are going to have to drive up in this, with aforementioned transport issues. On top of that hassle, our players should have been training in this weather for a week, so should have a decent advantage!

I think the pitch is often still playable in these conditions, but wasn't there issues with the area directly around the ground, and Health and safety issues over the concrete stairs in the ground not being safe in bad weather, and there have already been problems with the metros today.

As to whether or not a cancellation would be beneficial, you just don't know, playing Reading after a win has people they'll be on a high, not always the case, look what's just happened to Sunderland after their weekend win.

If you were really Gandalf, you'd have said 'which should give us a distinct advantage'.

Think we need to get it played and get 3 points on the board. We need to build confidence. If it's off and we lose to Villa then Chelsea and spurs we could be rock bottom and game over as a epl team.

If I was really Gandalf we wouldn't be in the bottom-half <wah>

And Michu would be a viable sexual partner... Well, if he likes long beards and penis...

So you're not the real Gandalf and we've got a treacherous impostor in our midst!

We need to play them now before we sell everybody. Hopefully it'll be too cold for the southerners (whereas our French team will of course be far more used to these conditions).

Bumped into a couple of West Ham supporters a few years ago that had travelled up for the game, only for them to be told it was off because of the conditions in and around the ground. Seems there was ice inside the ground and yet a massive thaw made conditions perfectly playable before the designated ko time. Bit rough to pay for travel and accommodation and not see a game.
