Just ignore the clowns who say get the cheque book out ffs. It guarantees nowt. Just look at DQPR and how much they have spent and how much of the brown stuff they are now in. I am very happy for FC to end up @ Cardiff City or wherever.

Leave things to SB and the Allams to sort out. We can do much better that FC imo. DJ at least scores goals.

I am ok with them not spending money. I just dont think we go up if we dont. If we want to stay in the Championship every year than OK. Personally I dont mind, it isnt like I get to go to Man U games anyway and we will just lose almost all our games in the PL like last time. I only mean that if they really want us to go up then it requires further investment. I know they have put tons of money into the club and will in the future. I do agree it is lots of money, so I understand if they can not spend it.

How much have they actually spent though?

And how much of the debt have they merely provided 'guarantees' for?

    There is a difference.

We seem to have this discussion every week.

Only those of us who didn't read the accounts and see that they'd paid off all the debts.

    Really?

Could you summarise in a few brief sentences then?

Any chance of your slant on them?

All our debts are to Allamhouse Limited, so obviously they have paid off all the debts and we now only owe money to them.

Managed it in one sententce(two, if you include this one).

So they haven't paid the debts, they've merely transferred the debt from sundry creditors to themselves (Allamhouse) and thus Hull City owe Allamhouse the money?

Kind of them and keeps the wolf from the door for now I suppose, but the debt owed by HCFC is still there (just hidden)

Allamhouse Limited is the Allam's, they are one and the same.

The Allam's currently owe the Allam's £49m, which they currently have zero chance of recovering.

One day, if we're in the Premier League and doing well, there is a chance they might get their money back. Until then, they have spunked £49m, the club has assets of a fraction of that amount, so they can never call in the loan.

They haven't just kept the wolf from the door, they shot the wolf and nailed the door shut. Anyone who doesn't appreciate what they've done has absolutely no idea about running a sizeable business.

I think we'll be able to judge this in a few years when the Allams want out.

Exactly my point, there is no out, they're locked in until the club is worth more than they've paid and it probably never will be.

We'll see. They might have got their hands on the stadium by then, and the scenario will be very different from now.

    Yeah, I suppose you're right....

Fancy me thinking football club owners might find a way to shaft a football club or line their pockets.

An outrageous thought, completely unwarranted and without precedent.

<laugh> Ask an accountant to explain the clubs accounts and I guarantee you'll stop digging.

Depends which accountant you use I suppose <laugh>

I'll go for the cheaper and simpler option -judging them by their actions.

You can only argue on debts versus current assets - you move the goalposts more than Pulis moves the towels!
