One thing footballers (like Sir Mike) from the continent cannot understand about some British players is their penchant for alcohol. Graham being ill for weeks with his 'mystery' illness after us beating Newcastle (and him going on the Razz in the North East) is probably having a major hand here. Any coincidence this all came about after the blood tests the club ran on him? Too many nights out in Wind Street, the Marina with Big Johnny Hartson and Lita perhaps.

    Why else the knockdown price?

Sorry I didn't think you all wanted him to leave. Poor bit of writing on my part. The "why" was more in reference to why is he seemingly on his way out? I understand every team is looking to improve however if it is true you are looking to replace him with KJ I don't see that been a huge step up if at all. Personally I feel DG would be very good for us at this time but I'm far from convinced the deal will go through.

What is the whole story about his drinking exploits? Is it anything much or just the media going over the top? Cheers

SAFC need a striker with Fletcher as Whickham, Cambell etc are not doing it for us he would be joint first choice striker (Sessegnon is a midfielder, and i wish MON would relise that). Just a note on your fantastic win at Chelsea last week, watch out in the second leg because they can go ANYWHERE and win, they came here and dominated the game from start to finish and beat us 3-1 it could have been 6. I hope it is a Swansea vs Bradford final, but it will be tough for both clubs. We got to the 1985 final after beating Chelsea twice in the semi's and it was a fantastic feeling at wembley being there for me, best of luck to you.

All I am going to say is he is now a proven premier league goal scorer and that is gold dust in the premier league, removing my thoughts about his connections, you's are selling him about 3-4m to cheap. We played 14m for Fletcher, like Graham proven to get goals in the premier league, albeit a better player overall, hence the higher amount.

And yet, if I am not mistaken, there has been as much comment among Sunderland supporters about his personal allegiance to Newcastle United as about his potential worth at the Stadium of Light.

Graham was once quoted as saying he would never want to play for Sunderland, or words to that effect. Look him up on the internet and you soon reach this Sunderland fan's comment: "Danny Graham is a born and bred Mag and he really doesn't like us."

I wonder if Danny will still want to go if we reach Wembley? He would bound to be part of the squad for the final. Just to underline my previous posts about him, I don't want him to go but, if he does, for an absolute minimum of £6 million.

We won't sell him for that amount, you really need to know our chairman before you think that, he's the one who wouldn't budge on joe allen's move, he got £15m for him. He also got £5m for Rodgers then demanded a further £2m for him to take the backroom staff, bank of Liverpool kindly parted with £22m ;)

Whatever happens you will have to match his release clause plus our valuation otherwise he won't go anywhere trust me.

Wonder what Danny's release clause is though? It sure as hell won't be under £5m that's for sure

looks like Norwich might have a say in all this , dont know if Danny will stay at Swans ...hope so....
but Frazier Campbell will go to Cardiff from Sunderland if Danny G goes to Sunderland, Kenwynne here
etc so the old domino reaction will set a few things moving.

Hard one to call at this alpine minute in january

I'll back Kenwynne 100% if he puts on a Swans shirt but I'm not convinced he's better than what we'll be losing. Far from it.

And our trump card is he's on form, on a long contract, reaching his prime and we don't really need to sell unless our valuation is met!:emoticon-0148-yes:

Given the reception he's likely to get from Sunderland fans maybe would appeal after all! :)

A couple of years spent in the the top league for the first time in your history and you are coming out with posts like that. He might just want to come to a club with history?
