He might be a fantastic player, but he is playing for Rennes, not a top club and if they are wanting £20+ million for him, then he is not worth it.

Fulham :emoticon-0114-dull: could be but i think we would offer better wages.
Reading <laugh> hang on? <laugh> I think because no one talks about them the media felt sorry for them and just added the name, but <laugh> no chance.

No doubt that's too much. But the reason he's still at Rennes is 1) the previous asking price and 2) his ''bad boy'' image - although going out clubbing when on U21 international duty is hardly akin to Joey Barton/Titus Bramble style antics. The 2 year ban from the French FA seems really disproportionate.

Just read (albeit The Mirror) that Everton might be making a late bid - that would be more of a worry than the other two.

I don't think it's a 'hijack' they just made an enquiry and Martin Jol said he is not interested in players linked with other clubs because of the money which they won't pay. Fair play to him and he sounded quite honest with what he said.

Can we call him Mvila for El Pirata's benefit?

Much as I praised Harry for getting his sales pitch out there (before the Remy deal), I think he's also made life difficult for himself by saying how much M'Vila was worth - guaranteed to get the owner asking for more money. Should only say it after the deal's done.

Aren't they above you, and have been all season? I think it's you the media should be feeling sorry for...

Go away you bittle little 'plastic jock'. Is Mike Ashley your god now? (two faced muppets). All your players want out and Remy choose our 18K gates over your 52K? Says it all.

Hit a nerve? You're welcome to mercenaries from abroad just looking for the cash. A little tip - we've had our fair share over the last ten years, and it ended very badly for us.

They may have been your right.....we have massively underperformed during the 1st half of this season and its been a rocky start to our Premiership life.

But come the 2nd half of this season, we will be above both Reading and the very bitter Newcastle and will be for years to come.

We stay up....build a new stadium and have owners that have ambition and spend top dollar on the best players resulting in more fans and bigger club stature.

Other teams just HATE to see the "small" club doing well and growing.

Also...your comment on Mercanaries shows how out of touch you are with real modern day football.......ALL footballers are mercanaries.....VERY few love the club they play for (unless they have supported them from a young age) and players that would choose a club because they have a bigger stadium in a sh*tter part of the country over a team offering better future prospects and money are few and far between.

You think Man City's players all started joining them because of all the success they've had over the years and their world famous football? dont be silly.....:emoticon-0102-bigsm

    I admire your positivity!

But as an aside - I don't think people necessarily hate the 'small' clubs doing well - I actually think people embrace the underdogs in sport, so that's a bit of an odd comment. When Hull, Reading and Blackpool were doing well in recent years, everybody almost adopted them as second teams for brief periods of time.

I think football fans just hate the clubs who chuck money at mercenaries, and essentially buy success ala Chelsea, Man City, and well....you said yourself....

But thats modern football......to get the best players you have to pay top wages.....it isnt rocket science.

Yes we have made some mistakes paying big wages to players in their twighlight years (Hughes's Fault)....but by capturing the services of Remy.....(a player you would be praising had he joined Newcastle), by offering him more wages....thats business....thats modern football at the top im afraid.

Had a top 6 club done it.....would there have been such an outcry? no

People only like the underdog when they pose no threat.............when the small club starts to rise people hate it......we have gone from everybodys 2nd favourite team when we were rubbish, to one of the most dislked.

Well, I hope it does indeed work out for you, as I like Harry and it'll be interesting what ye do with the money. Just heed the warning from a Newcastle fan who has seen too much go wrong - beware of the mercenaries only there for the cash. I'm not saying Remy is one (yet), but we've spent millions and millions on players who became uninterested once they collected a sizable amount of dosh (Viduka, Owen, Duff etc), and it culminated in relegation.

We've already been burnt by that mate (Bosingwa etc.)

But even you must admit some of the hate towards QPR, simply becuase they won the services of a player by paying more money is way over the top.

Back in the Championship when I went to Newcastle away, the Toon fans were some of the nicest I had come across and we all went out after on the jolly......................if I went there now, id porbably have my head chopped off!

As long as Remy gets the goals that keeps us up I don't care how much he's on!
