So you dont need a extra pair of trousers then bully boy? Mind you here in west coast of finland is now -13 celsius and should be -21 before tommorow morning. When you live on the coast the wind is cold during the winter and if you have -13 by the sea it feels the same as -23 in the middle of the country.
There isn't much wind when you have a massive island sheltering you. Its warmer in the winter and a bit cooler in the summer. People would be dying all over the place if we ever got to -13 here.
It's really bloody cold here today - almost 15 degrees C On saturday it was lovelly - 25 degrees C!! (mind you, it was only 1 degree C here this morning.....) QPR1968 - check your PM's if you're after something to do tonight.
31 degrees right now and heading for 35 today...... Plenty of sun to go round and one day international at the Gabba tonight, Air con set to 23 to keep the beers chilled
Mate i'd probably freeze to death if i ever set it that cold.....bbbbrrrrrrr And to think i used to be a ski instructor eh?...sod that !
I dont like it warm indoors, I suffocate when people have their CH set to over 22C. I like it warm outside but like it cool inside. Being able to sleep perfectly is great when everyone else has to suffer in the heat. Smug mode is on permanently when we have a heatwave.
On the tube into uxbridge and its just started, settling already as well, can see this being bad and me missing my beano at the hammers tomorow
bit cold here too, had some cloud this morning so I thought i'd better put the long sleeved T-Shirt on. People saying it might get as low as 24
Sparkling morning here in SE Ireland, sun bouncing off the sea.....mind we had storm force wind and driving rain overnight.....the rain has now moved eastwards into the UK and is causing the snow.....sorry lads
It was -23,2 celsius when we go out with my dog this morning. We were out about 10 minutes when she looked me like she was trying to said: "FFS! Whats the matter with you, let's go inside NOW cos i have done my business already!".......
SB- best keep checking your BHX for tmrw mate. My Mrs just tx to say loads of flights already canx at LHR and it ain't THAT bad to be honest, think BHX has got it worse.
-5 in Paris...as I started scrolling through this thread I wondered when those in the Southern Hemisphere would pop up with their mid 30's temperature...so happy for you.
It's coming down quite heavy now, earlier in the day than expected, which might be good if it stops earlier. The BHX website has just one incoming from Guernsey cancelled and a few minimal delays, nothing out of the ordinary. They are more concerned about people leaving enough time to get to the airport......big feather in their cap if they keep up a decent service while LHR crumbles. Hope it gets its runway extension soon, 1 flight a day to the States is pathetic.....
LHR ALWAYS crumbles mate. However much we try and tel the management they really havnt got a clue as to how to handle disruption. Oh well........more overtime for me I guess
Snowing here now up in the frozen Northern wasteland of Sheffield. Enduring taunts from northerners about being a soft southerner
