Congrats to the Arse! A well deserved win and I bet you guys feel a bit better after that 2nd half midfield performance. You showed some drive that has been missing at times this season.

Sorry you didn't see the best of us tonight, we were definitely lacking something. Hopefully it was down to the lineup changes rather than fatigue throughout our team.

Good luck for the rest of the cup and I hope you end your "drought" (try having to wait for 100 years!)

If cardiff keep it up, we'll have 2 welsh sides in the PL next season.

    Nooooooooooooo!

As much as the representation would be great, I am quite happy lording it above them! Besides, they are not 'really' Welsh from there! Just ask your resident Gog!

Your language sounds like something out of Lord of the Rings.

Our language is your language too mate! It's derived from Brittonic, the original language of Britain before we all started talking Germanic (English).

We have close links to the Breton down here in Cornwall too <ok> and a Cornish Language.

I'm from Lewisham originally though, so I haven't got a ****ing clue what they're going on about <laugh>

Apparently Tolkien did base some of the language used in his books on Welsh

I think Welsh and Cornish were used as the basis for Elvish. I may be wrong though. <ok>

Tolkein did base Elvish on Welsh. Watched Lord of the Rings recently and it's pretty obvious. God that Liv Tyler is something! Also, one of the Hobbits is called Merriadoc !

As a philologyst Tolkien knew many languages, incl. Greek, Latin, Old Norse, Anglisc, Ancient Gothic and Finnish. The guy has developed THREE fully functional Elvish languages. (Plus another dozen of minor languages) I am not sure he knew modern Welsh though.

If you look at the maps in the books the place names look very similar to Welsh
