I have often wondered how some people are at work, yet manage to keep up with all of the latest football news.

Maybe this supplies the answer. ;)

Horse meat is nice, had it in the form of shashimi in Japan.

Started a new job, flat out, not good news, might regret the change. HArd grind for now then to see if I can 'settle in'.

Apart from that no Paloma AK and given my day that is good news !! :)

Lenny - It seems the "products" were made in Ireland from "meat" sourced from Poland and other countries - so it's also the production company that has been duped. As I understand it, Horse meat is not sold for human consumption in the UK because there is no traceability of the product. Even the crap beef used in these products can be traced, that is why the can be health issue as no-one can show where the horse meat came from. Personally it comes as no surprise as everyone is trying to maximise margins by driving down the price they pay suppliers there is little left to cut - I expect pictures from knackers yards in Poland and Romania where this crap came from.

Morning all from a freeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzing West West London - it was -6C when I left bandit country!

Little Miss W_Y went to the Emirates last night with "work" and was sitting right next to dug-outs. I was texting her about how cold it was and must have been glad that there was no extra time - but apparently it was nice and warm with food and drink in the press facilities for the OB teams <yikes>.

Thanks in advance for the frothy AK..

Morning all, thanks for the caramel latte Ak :)

What a great start to the day. My washing machine is broken so i called for a fixer from a company i hadn't used before, as i don't know any washing machine men these days. The quote was good, much cheaper than any others, and as usual, the man was going to turn up between 8-1. A wiped out morning as usual, i thought. But no, at 8am on the dot the man turned up, and i couldn't help but smile when i saw his Watford FC hat :). We talked Watford for ages, he said if he didn't have other appointments he'd be staying all day! lol. What a lovely bloke, who has managed to find a cheaper way of fixing my machine too, bless him! He's a Rookery man, so i'll be looking out for him in future!

    Oh happy days :)

Morning all, lovely sunshine and blue skies here, but temperature still -3C. Had to break the ice so the birds could have a drink. Despite providing nuts and seeds they still need access to water and as soon as I cleared the ice they were down drinking.

I have lent my old TV to my daughter who brought one over that she bought at Tescos and suddenly switched itself off and will not come on again. My old set was at least 25 years old and still going strong apart from a bit of a hum on the sound, whereas the new Tesco set was not quite 3 years old. I wonder if they actually build them to conk out these days so as to keep sales up.

I love a traditional woman who refers to the washing machine as hers, a wonderful present nearly as well received as the hoover......

Just me being bitter really- I used to do all the housework, being self-employed and working from home. Mrs GG was out earning big money in IT. She's now retired and getting over the shock of having to run the house! I still have a role as advisor when more complicated cleaning projects arise. But really I'd give anything to be able to help.
