Can't find the jan signings thread and think this deserves it's own thread.

Anyway, here's the latest

http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892...p-up-sneijder-pursuit-as-inter-star-stalls-on

Although RHC says it's bullshit, and tbh that probably ranks higher than info from goal.com.

Anyway, even though he is far too an expensive and exciting signing for us and it will never happen, let's still speculate anyway as it makes my day go faster <whistle>

thats too much, we'll only pay him 70k per week max.... tottenham will step in form pure fear and give him 110k per weeek which will prompt bale to request a transfer as he's no longer the most highly paid jug eared clown at the lane.

Sky Sports are reporting that Galatasaary agreed a transfer fee £6.2m, and wages are below €105k p/week.

That's probably why he's waiting for an English club to come.

I think he will end up with Liverpool or Spurs.

Spurs have an abundance of midfielders and we have a youth policy in place, just can't see it happening. Good player, but gamble yes.

If the price is right and his wages are affordable then why is it a risk? He's a quality player and he's 28 so has a fair few years left in him. The main question is will we be interested considering Lucasprime rightly pointed out, we have a youth policy in place.

We'd be absolutely crazy to not show interest.

Sneijder has to move on this window, as he's fallen out with Inter over his refusal to take a pay cut & they have to cash in on him now, or he could walk for free in the summer due to him not being played at all, as he will claim breach of contract. So Inter would face the nightmare scenario of having to pay his £180K per week for 6 more months & then get no fee.

He's therefore got to go. However, at that wage level there'll be no takers & whilst he might take a slight drop for a longer deal, he's going to want the majority of his current contract covered by a combination of his current / new clubs. The deal is therefore complex & will go right to the wire imo, as there'll be brinkmanship from his & Inters camps, plus there'll be clubs out there monitoring the situation right up until the deadline.

didn't say that when there was talk of United signing him 2 years ago, it was all what brilliant things he could bring to united not he's looking for sh!tloads of money when lies about him joining LFC rears its head<laugh>

He could just sit out his contract as a big '**** you' to Inter.

It all depends on if he really is more bothered about money or football.

Are you thick ??

Did I say he was bad ??

I'd love for United to sign him.

[Have a Thumbs Up!]
Agree, he will leave, to where, I don't know (I don't think he knows yet either..]
Part of me would love to have him, a Front six of Lucas, Gerrard, Sneijder, Suarez, Sturridge, Sterling/Borini would be very tasty!
The other part of me doesn't want to run the risk of another Joe Cole episode, comes in for big money, does feck all..
