Didnt see this one coming, thought it would be hull http://www1.skysports.com/football/...ing-up-move-for-Sunderland-s-Fraizer-Campbell
I don't make the decisions just comment on them. It's been obvious we are tracking the player for some time and this is no surprise but imo, its a massive mistake on the managers part. If he now comes, after writing so readily in the past of his huge dislike of Sunderland AFC and doesn't hit the ground running, he will become a hate figure here for sure. Martin will protect him as if does all his players and an animosity between manager and fans will ensue. It's a totally wrong signing imo and fraught with disaster. He won't be getting my support, and I don't care what you all think about that. He is a black-and-white, Sunderland hating gateshead lad, here to take the piss just as Clark did imo.
As for Frazier I, like Meyler, wish the lad nothing but my best wishes if if goes. Again like Meyler, he deserves an opportunity to become a regular main striker and that woot be here. Great lad but just not quite good enough imo. He has done well to get back after those terrible injuries but his future now lies elsewhere. Good luck and best wishes and maybe we can get a bidding war going?
Cest After reading Danny Graham's comments, I reckon it looks more like tongue in cheek banter to be fair to the lad. He's not in the media a lot like Balotelli or Barton or Carroll so doesn't seem a bad bloke, I'm sure he was just trying to make a funny comment in a magazine that's all. The fact that he's wanting to leave to find regular first team football is testament to him, he just likes the game - football first and everything else second is a decent attitude to have. Having said that, he's similar to Fletcher, a bit of a fox in the (6 yard) box - think O'Neill has rotation in mind with this one, alleviate some pressure off your top scorer.
Hi lads Cardiff fan here. Seen the rumours about Campbell coming to us. He would certainly be surplus to requirements with you if you sign Graham - who would be a good acquisition if you get him. He certainly knows where the back of the net is and works hard outside the box too. There was a rumour we were trying to get him a few weeks ago. He would have been welcomed to us and this is coming from a Cardiff fan and our relationship with the Swans is similar to yours with Newcastle. So, what are your views on Campbell? I've seen him a few times over the years. No doubting his work ethic and speed and I think he is well liked at your place having had a good relationship with the fans but he seems a bit lightweight and does not score that often - when we need someone who is not shy in that department. He also had a bad injury - anterior cruciate? - a year or so ago. Is he over that fully? I don't know if we are paying for him or trying to get him on loan. If buying, what do you think he will cost us? Sensible views please. Thanks.
I know for a fact he is a mag through meeting his mother via work. This wasn't banter it was what he really felt and he will take the piss now if he does come. I'd will not get my support at all.
