There were some hard tackles out there tonight but still no cards, can anyone say how well the Officials handled the game, no doubt opinions will be divided depending upon who you support?
Simon Peach on Twitter: "St Mary's Stadium & #SaintsFC's starting line-up tonight put together comes to less than the £50million #CFC spent on Fernando Torres."
Jeremy Vine on Twitter: "Just returned from #CFC game. Spent 90 minutes watching a great passing team who played creative football. Unfortunately it was Southampton" I liked that one.
Adkins talking about Lampard said that sometimes you discuss contracts at the end of the season. Could also apply to Puncheon.
I think people are beginning to notice us...we have turned things around (OK, Adkins has) without anyone paying attention. They scarcely blinked at the draw with Arsenal...must see now that it is not just a one off. The trouble is that whatever result we get the newspapers always report it from the opposition point of view. This will be all about Chelsea in tomorrow's papers.
I know it's nothing major but I wanted to point out that it is another game we have gone without picking up any cards
It has always been thus, Fran. Except that it has only been a decade or more when Chelsea may have won against a big team, and that losing team must have played badly. We'll know we've hit the big time when it is us who have had the bad day at the office and the other team get no acknowledgement at all.
I was thinking this, the ref and his various assistants did really well. Didn't take any rubbish every time Schneiderlin dumped the Chelsea players on their arses.
ooooh, and on the 4th Feb I start a new job with a company where my office is in France and the factories are in France and Germany.... I feel some Euro trips coming on.
