Why is everyone so keen on Feltscher?

I saw him play a few times and he was pretty good, but I cannot help but think that he'll struggle to make the transition to the Championship.

Was linked to the likes of arsenal in the past and that was to replace Fabregas so must have something about him. Plus he's a creative midfielder which is something we need. Cant do no harm giving him a contract until the end of the season

I will wait to see what Feltscher is like before I pass comment on him.

Sign Bates on a year contract as I think with a good partner he could get back to his previous form. Th other two they can go.

Only thing that concerns me with Bates rod is he isn't very physical. A year contract is a bit of a risk. Would rather offer a contract until the end of the season

6 months is nothing mate if he regains his previous form, leaving in the summer is more likely to happen to someone else.

I agree he is the best we have, Which shows how bad we are. We need at least another 2 Centrebacks along with the McFadzean deal!

Bates isn't good enough.. unfit, too small for a CB and made a few clear cut errors.. and is also around the corner from a cruciate ligament.. marc wilson <laugh> <laugh> and mcmanus isn't the best but imo he's the best out of a bad bunch

The only bit I agree with about Bates is the injury uncertainty...

As for the rest, maybe thats what happens if the team is not performing and you are not sure if you have a job next week. He can't have been "not good enough" as captain of Middlesbro and attracting interest from premier league clubs.

If he stays, he has a new manager/challenge to inspire him.

Excerpt from Wikipedia; "He plays in central defence, however is equally adept at playing at right back or in defensive midfield."
So how about keeping him for the "Cisse" sweeper role in front of the back four? Any comments lads?
