Ahh its over now. At 1-0 we had a chance to make some tactical changes at half time and go for it but I fear more for the 5 we conceded at St Marys.
Yeah, I'll let you off though. We played ok but the goals were quite sloppy. Never mind, good excuse to revise now.
I have . It seems to be a secret rule that a commentator can't praise our academy without suggesting where our latest product should move next.
It was noted on another thread how we don't ship in goals anymore it seems that we still can't deal with opposition of a higher class. This is the reason I don't think we will get any surprise wins against the big boys like other clubs seem to be able to do.
I think you are right. We have been doing really well against "normal" Premier League sides, however I have always felt the top 3 or 4 sides have too much attacking flare for us. Still, no reason not to keep behind the boys. We have missed Jose in the last two games.
I swear to god, if we had a man standing on the edge of the area instead of everyone retreating to the 6-yard line when rebounds/rushed clearances are made, we would concede half as many goals as we do.
Would like to see us be a bit more confident with our shooting and guly is useless on the left of a 5 man midfield. He doesn't get up the line and also stops him using his height in the box. We should draft a few more youth players in to give us some pace driven options for width. Isgrove could be a shout although played Monday I guess. Played ok but defensive clearances need to be addressed, no more controlling it in the box or limp legged 10yd fluffs. If in doubt put it out
I really am struggling to see what Steven Davis offers, he seems to consistently slow the ball down every time I watch him.
I'm not too sure what to suggest here, I bet Adkins is scratching his head. Bringing Ramirez on could open us up even worse. Maybe bring Lambert on for Guly and do our best Stoke impression, I hate to say it, but bang it long and get Lambert nodding them down to Rodriguez.
