I agree, if we somehow keep them to 0-0 with 20mins left it would be a great lift to see Lambert coming on...Don't expect us to get anything tonight but stranger things have happened!

 

We are due a surprise win, but can't see Chelsea losing to two teams from relegation end.

 

I do feel for Adkins here - we're almost certain to lose the game (but maybe not now as heavily as we otherwise would), and those 'fans' on twitter, facebook, solent etc will use his decision to leave out Lambert and Ramirez as ammunition for their dislike towards him.

 

Much like the West Ham game. i'd say this one is over as soon as the team sheets are read out. I thought we might nick a point but saving Lambert forlater in the second half is pointless, we will be dead and buried by then.

He has been for every single game he's played in this season, He is our best player by a distance, hes the most influencial player by a distance and he was the CAPTAIN!!

 

Olly, relax mate. The manager, who is better qualified than you, me or anyone on this forum has decided not to pick him. Personally, I'll go with that as I really don't think we would get much anyway. He was also only the Captain for one game.

And by the way, I think he is very influencial for us, but not the most by a distance. That is a little disrespectful to the likes of Adam, Gaston and even Jose of late. He is important, very important, but I have no problem if the manager decides he is going to be on the bench tonight.

Very odd bench from Chelsea, 4 defenders from 6 outfield players; it doesn't look like they have a lot of options of one of their attacking options gets injured.

 

Obviously the shape is different here compared to what we did in some recent games. Davis is added to the midfield to match up Oscar, Mata and Hazard, which means a striker has to go. Who would be better as a lone striker out of Rodriguez and Lambert? Depends what you want to do, Lambert is the king at bringing others into the game, but we aren't doing that. On Saturday we had no one to bring off the bench, this time we have options to change the game.
