Glad Jose got player of season. Our success was based on a solid defence..fantastic 38 goals let in from 46 games. Also pleased there was the players player award for Lallana because he is so essential for us and it is such a coup to get a player of his calibre to sign a long contract with us. AOC was of course a shoe-in for young player of year. Hope everyone who attended had a great time, now lets have the gossip or did NC threaten you with the horses head.
Why didn't everyone get a prize? That is what happens in schools these days. You don't want to hurt anybody by leaving them out. For example I am devastated and heartbroken that CBK got the Award I have been coveting all season and rightly deserve on merit. I have half a mind not post on here again but I know you would all miss me and my indepth, thought provoking and insightful contributions.
Would have gone for the skiving at work award next year, but the tech desk is being moved so I will be cut off from civilization (i.e. football scores) on Saturdays. Damn, I'll have to look at customers instead of having my eyes swivelled to the side of my head. Customers trying to buy underpants would often be greeted with cries of 'Yes, yes' yes. Get in there.' Could easily be misinterpreted.
CBK, you missed the Community Player of the Year Award that went to Lee Holmes. Well I guess he does have a bit more time on his hands than most of the other players...!!
