he doesn't beat his current team mate 100% of the time, what makes you think he could beat Vettel 100% of the time?
Well said. Just look at Vettels debut practice sessions in the BMW-Sauber. He impressed by setting the fastest time in second Friday Free Practice before the 2006 Turkish Grand Prix. He continued to show his exceptional speed on his second testing session in the 2006 Italian Grand Prix, setting the fastest time in both Friday practice sessions. I cant remember any similar whooping debut drives. Someone correct me if i am wrong.
No I'm just saying I disagree with you thinking it's 100% all Newey's work. Kimi had Newey for years and it didn't turn out so well. I'm saying the Red Bull combo is the best on the grid, why do you think both Vettel and Adrian extended contracts with each other, it's because they're all doing their roles perfectly.
sorry misquote, regardless of the car they are still outperforming the rest of the teams in every field. Pitstops, tyre management, etc...
I didn't say I thought it was all down to Newey. If it was we wouldn't see marked gaps between Vettel and Webber. I said I thought Newey would disagree with your assessment that RBR and Vettel would be as successful as they are regardless of their car.
I think you you got my last post the wrong way genji that's maybe my fault. I'm just saying it's NOT! just the car the red bull team as a whole doing so well but in general "regardless" of the car helping to win those races, the team is outperforming the rest in many catagories other than just the car. You know what i mean genji...
I agree with you about the Buemi/Alguersuari thing, I do not know where people get the idea that Alguersuari is better, Buemi seems to consistently outperform him in both quali and the race, in Malaysia Buemi had a stop-go penalty and still finished ahead of Alguersuari, Alguersuari also only seems to appear on the TV when he is getting overtaken, you do not see him do anything. When comparing Vettel with Buemi you have to remember that the Toro Rosso's were not the same, when Vettel was driving for Toro Rosso it was actually quite a good car and better than the Red Bull becaue it had the aerodynamics of the Red Bull but with a better engine, a Ferrari one. I would also say that Buemi has showed some promise, he has scored points and he even led a race last year.
Well, ok - I just think Newey's position might be that the team can only operate at the level it's operating now because the car's nailed to the floor. I'm not saying the car drives itself, changes its own tyres or determines the optimum strategy for a given race but it makes everyone else's jobs a whole lot easier.
Excatly genji ! I agree with you on that. They got a team mixture to win, great designer, great drivers, great people in general.
I think he meant Hamilton in the Red Bull instead of Vettel. ... but the principle applies to many drivers on the grid - put them in the Red Bull and watch them dominate.
But the same can be said the other way, put vettel in a McLaren or a Ferrari and he would be the same as them. Just don't understand how they can say 1 driver would do better than vettel lol. He still would of been beat off the line by both McLarens in China and still got the same stratergy.
That is a good point, other drivers in a Red Bull might of equaled Vettel's 4/5 wins but it is highly unlikely anybody would of got 5/5 wins because the only race Vettel has not won was China and that was because of Red Bull getting the strategy wrong, which they would of done whatever driver was in the car. So I think other drivers in Vettel's Red Bull would be dominent like Vettel but I doubt they would of done better than him, at the moment anyway. please log in to view this image
