I think last night could be a blessing in disguise as its shown mon that a number of players we have are just not good enough.Hopefully this result will kick mon into gear and he will move a few more on than he thought he had to and replace them with better.Laugh at me for this next comment but I would put a bid in for sneijder they only want £9 million for him he is desperate to come to the premier league and no one else has bid for him.Wages would be a massive problem but we could at least bid and see how it developes.
Ok then he's been linked with qpr so is it really that unreal.Get rid of Saha,McFadden,Campbell and there's his wages them 3 for him well worth it in my opinion they don't play anyway. We go on about next level players all the time and like Sid said no harm in asking.
It's a blessing for me in some ways - I'm totally skint so would've struggled to make the final game of the FA cup for us (Everton!!)
I'm not saying it will happen but where's the harm in asking did u expect them up the road to get Owen I know I didn't but they asked and they got.Fair enough he didn't play alot for them but they didn't know that at the time.
I get what you saying and it would be unlikely, and i understand why people would ridicule the thread. However if someone had an option of playing in the premier league or playing in the turkish league, where would you go????? Wages would be that major factor, but look at players we asked for before and got, Cisse, Muntari, Gyan. Keep knocking at doors and eventually one will open
wages would be a problem. even if we could afford them he'd be on way more than the rest of our star players. could cause squad unrest.
Could cause unrest but he's world class the rest are not so they would have to bare it u get paid what ur worth and there's alot of players at our club get paid far to much for what they actually produce
than what about when he wants to play with a better class of player and we can't afford wages for another 3 or 4 world class players to play around him. we'd have to make CL qualification off the back of his signing just to keep him happy. wage structures are there for a reason. look at the state of QPR. Don't get me wrong, I'd love him here but it's clearly not plausible.
We don't have a squad capable of winning the fa cup so if we didn't go out this round it would be the next against Everton. We are in a relegation scrap and that's the priority & harsh reality, though I do think we will stay up.
You don't need a good squad to win the FA Cup, we of all clubs are testament to that. And surely Sneijder would want CL from the get go. Agree theres no harm in asking, but don't get upset with the inevitable no.
The idea of him coming is idiotic. The idea of putting a £9m bid in and saying we'll give him £80,000 a week is not. The worst he could, and almost definitely would, do is say no. Boo ****ing hoo. Free publicity showing intent. If anyone is about to say we shouldnt do a qpr and throw stupid wages at foreign players who have no interest in playing for the club... 80,000 grand a week for sneijder ain't silly and if he was to take that kind of pay cut he'd clearly be interested in the football. Still, I'm more likely to sneeze out a pair of gold plated tits than for him to come here.
Sneijder? Seriously? Not if we offered him£200k per week would he come here. He might when he is 40 and well passed his sell by date and looking for one last big pay day for doing **** all but not at his peak he wouldnt.
Do you really think MON does not know how poor some of the players are? If we can see it he can see it
