Do you think the attempted assault would have happened if Lennon had not effectively accused Hearts of cheating at the weekend? I would have thought the analogy was pretty clear: neither Lennon nor the hitch-hiker deserved the outcome they got. However, they could both have easily avoided the problem in the first place by: going elsewhere (in the case of the hitch-hiker), and not making slanderous statements to the press (in Lennon's case).
First of all, I never made any reference to whether they were linked or not. I was talking about justification. You changed it to linked to suit your argument. You then made up some frankly ridiculous parallel (not an analogy) between Neil Lennon, a hitchhiker and the Taliban which, frankly, came across as the words of a mad man.
