Graham was apparently our first choice, but he's having another great season and realistically, we have no chance.

Campbell is allegedly our first choice now, but we haven't actually bid for him, I think there's a little smoke and mirrors and we may well have a target nobody knows about.

Either way, we'll have a new striker by the end of the month, it would be madness not to.

Southampton spend £5m over two seasons, but the sale of Oxlade-Chamberlain made the books look good. They've spent £33m this season though - so it shows they're well backed!

Norwich spend £4.2m, and have spent £21m in the Prem - same story, and in both cases, it's likely they would have spend more in the Championship if need; both teams started well and stayed at top all season.

Burnley is a good shout, I forgot about them, but like Blackpool, went straight back down despite spending £12m.

Blackpool only spent £5m in the Prem, which was more than covered by the sale of Adam the following season.

Stephen Hunt & Steven Mouyokolo reportedly went for £5.5m to Wolves. You also had the £4.5m talent of Jimmy Bullard but let him go for free. Zayette also had his contract cancelled for personal reasons so that was another lost sellable asset. You also sold Turner (reports of anywhere betwen £4-12m!) and Ricketts (about £2m) while still in the Prem. You also spent £4.5m on your first season back in the Championship, we actually made money in our first season, buying Wellens AND Gallagher for less than we sold Mattock.

Over the last three seasons combined, we've spent £18.5m (roughly the same over four seasons too, see above). You have spent £12.5m. If we spread than expenditure over our four seasons in the Championship, we've spent £4.6m on average per season. For you over three seasons, it's an average of £4.1m. As I said, you're more likely to spend more than we are in the remainder of Jan, so these figures may end up even closer. <ok>

    Well put it this way.

We signed Wood on the opening day and have won 5 more points.

They weren't actually, but maybe I should have made it clearer that these figures include this season. Hull were relegated in 2010. My figures refer to seasons 2010-11,2011-12, 2012-13, in which time they've spent £12.5m. I know this season isn't quite finished regarding spending, but, as I stated, they're more likely to spend more than us in what's left of Jan, so our respective average season spends may well end being even closer.

Yep, nice goal to be fair.

Whether to blame the keeper or not i'm not sure. I think a good one would have saved it.
