On direct free-kicks? Keepers might be, but we don't even test them, most of the time. I won't distract from the point of this thread, but it's very annoying that we're so impotent on set-pieces. We don't even have a small side any more.
2-0. Townsend assists, Carroll puts it away. Don't think he scores many. Townsend making a case for more match time in the first team, today.
4-1 and 5-1 to finish it off. Obika again and Falque, with an assist from Obika. Mason and Obika highlighted as top performers by the official twitter feed. Time to stick Obika on the bench and watch Croydon's head explode, perhaps? How many's he got now this season in the reserves? Seems like a lot.
Just checked THFC6061's site for his stats. He missed a couple of games, so you're right about his scoring record, SC. http://www.myfootballfacts.com/TottenhamHotspurReservesAcademy2012-13.html He's also got 5 goals in Spurs XI games and leads the scoring in both categories. Perhaps his expiring contract has put a fire under his arse?
Bloody Scousers. Match report from Wolves: http://www.wolves.co.uk/news/article/reserves-v-spurs-140113-597991.aspx?&pageView=full#anchored
The Fail focus on Fryers: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ing-report-Manchester-United-controversy.html Played twice and we've won 4-0 and 5-1. 6-2 next?
"Our Development Squad beat Peterborough 8-1 today. Match report & pics later! Goals: Pritchard (4) Ceballos (2), Luongo & Coulthirst" From the official Twiter feed. Can only be good news. Prichard got 4(!), really hope we get to see more of him in the future. In a Spurs shirt that is.
It's been said before by many but he really does look a prospect. Is there even the remotest chance of him getting a look in on the bench for the FA Cup game coming up or is that totally out of the question at this stage?
7 goals from midfielders. Pritchard really does need to be either loaned out to the Championship or given some sort of a sniff of first team action. Sorting out a contract might depend upon that sort of statement.
I said last season he couldn't be far off being given a chance. I trust what our coaching staff are doing with these youngsters, but I do struggle to understand why Pritchard is playing in games like today against mediocre opposition, when he could and should have been involved in the under 21 league game yesterday. Technique wise, it is difficult to find a fault in his game. He is two footed, an excellent dead ball specialist, and although he is often asked to play in a wide role, it doesn't reduce his work rate or his impact on the game. He is an eexcellent prospect who has been giving top level performances for 18 months now and has to be worth a chance to show what he can do.
