FFS. For the umpteenth time, I don't blame Lennon for the assault. How many times do you want me to say it? You clearly have problems with the concept of personal responsibility in an imperfect world, so here's an analogy: If I arrange a hiking holiday in Afghanistan and am abducted and beheaded by the Taliban, who's to blame? Clearly it's the Taliban's fault. However, knowing the situation on the ground, a sensible man would have gone hiking elsewhere. All I'm saying is that Lennon shouldn't be surprised if his provocative remarks illicit a response, and a sensible man wouldn't do it. I'm not saying that it's justified. Cue response about me justifying the attack and blaming Lennon..
Wolsey You're missing the point. What has Lennon done to justify the response he's had? Neil Lennon has NOT gone into the Rangers end wearing a Celtic scarf or gone on to the pitch with a big banner saying "**** OFF PRODDY SCUM". You and EGDE's ridiculous examples are nothing more than desperate. What's the worst thing he's done that can be proved? Cupped his ears? Suggested other teams didn't play well? Walked on to the pitch and shook hands with his own players and clapped the Celtic fans? Why do you feel the need to make up some utterly bizarre story about the Taliban as if it's in some way comparable to what's happening with Neil Lennon?
So brilliant he has to make up some ****e about Afghanistan and the Taliban This is just getting beyond ****ing ridiculous!
Nah, he's a Scottish based Liverpool fan who lists as one of his favourite sports Neil Lennon getting attacked last night http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001615563501 Hmmmmm...
Why don't the ****wits who are not Celtic fans and who seem to think Lennon deserved it **** off? This is the Celtic board, if you have nothing positive to add you are unwelcome. If you want to continue to use this particular "Celtic" forum to point score and wum then my self imposed exile from wumming on the Gers board is over.
