I missed the terms of Macleans' loan. Is he able to be recalled? Not that I think that would be a solution.
I'd play Stewart up there, closest match, and his best performances came as a striker. He aint going to bag a load but he'll set a few up using his pace to get behind the last man.
Your second highest goalscorer has 5 and hasn't scored for months and the 3rd is your centre half You've scored 38 goals this season, the 2nd worst in the top 10 whereas we've scored 48, the 2nd best. Your top scorer is out and it will royally **** you up when you can't buy a goal. Prove me wrong.
Aluko was out injured all of December and we dropped all the way to second in the form table. Since he returned, for one game, we played terribly and lost. Our season is most definitely over.
You seem like a decent, genuine kid. I get the impression that you're a die-hard City supporter; a dyed-in-the-wool, City-obsessed guy who'd follow the club across the country if circumstances permitted, just like I would. You're also of a similar age to me. That's why it's hard for me to say... you're talking out of your ****ing arse. Aluko was just about our only hope of promotion. He's the one player we have who can make things happen out of nothing. He's the one who can conjure up a goal of some kind when it seems like we're never going to get one. We've just spent £4m on Meyler and Brady, and we still need a goalkeeper and two or three forwards. How much more do you think the Allams are going to spend?!
Just to have a bit of a poo on that theory, and go a bit of way to prove you wrong, our best run of form came without him in the side, then once he returned our furm has taken a dramatic U-turn and gone bubbling down the urinal drainage hole.
I'm sure you'd agree it's better to be 2nd despite only scoring 38 goals rather than 3rd even after scoring 48. How the table ends up is anyone's guess, but as we've managed to do better than you despite our dismal scoring we won't worry too much yet.
Bad news about Aluko but we are still a good side with or without him, encouraging that Cairney and der Proschwitzer might be able to step up to the plate soon. The Leicester guy posting on here is getting a bit annoying now am starting to agree with the ones who don't like all the bullshit spoiling threads
Thank you for the first bit Sir. But to call Aluko our ONLY hope for promotion is a bit far-fetched in my eyes. We have very good players like Brady, Meyler, Chester, Evans, Roko when on his game, Quinn and Elmo. I reckon we need one maybe 2 forwards now, but we can get loans in surely? We have a virtual new signing in Matty Fryatt waiting in the wings for next year. I think we'll be ok, hopefully big Nick will come good as he's an actual striker, not a "Play in behind" guy.
Not good as Aluko has a history of achilies injuries. He was out 12 weeks at Rangers and needed surgery on his achilies and now this is the 2nd time with us that he has had to sit out with an achilies problem? Fingers crossed that he does not turn out to be like Mr. Glass Knees.
We held our own last time Aluko was out. Koren scored some important goals in that time and Proschwitz is starting to do well. Football's a funny game.
2nd worst goal scores in the top 10...really?..And we're second?...how have we done that then?! I reckon we'll see another striker and a new keeper through the door this Jan so things can only improve.
I see what you mean, we need to fill the 'special' quota on here . 2 goals in two games for der Proschwitzer anyway, lets unleash diese grosse Himmelhunde on the Championship!
Well Aluko hasn't done anything in the last few matches as I said in the other thread, so now we have to have a striker on the pitch.
