Bottom line - he's 29, going nowhere with us, and if someone from the PL comes in for him, he'll go. Fee won't come into it - we can't keep a disgruntled player.

You can't blame him for wanting to improve himself & go for what we can't offer, can you? He's been a loyal servant and we should wish him well if he does move on.

Sadly, this does tie in with Warnock's 'someone's turned his head' comment after the Barnsley debacle.

I gotta be honest, I'd bite their hand off for 4m for a 29 year old who can't control a ball playing in the second tier of english football.

I'm probably one of a few leeds fans that would mind

 

Who can we sign as a realistic replacement for £4m that would want to join us and would be capable of scoring 20 goals in half a season?

 

Evening folks, just finished training. Had no idea what the score was but was reading the thread from the second page.

So, we went one behind, equalized with our first shot at goal, then scored the winner with another rare shot on target.

Thats the thing though, we don't necessarily need to adequately replace Becchio's goals. Personally I would take someone like when we had Keogh (also bear in mind Wood cost 1.25m raising to 2m, he would've more than adequately replaced Becchio imo) and spend the money on wingers and CMs. We have McCormack who will get a lot of goals and if we had someone to play alongside him with quality wingers and CMs we would get the goals as well and be a much better rounded team

 

5live have reported that Becchio was at the Wigan game tonight plus there's a rumour going that he met up with Martinez at the Holland Hall Hotel in wigan

 

Can we blame him?

Have the club shown him ambition?

 

Reckon its just gossip. In any case Wigan have been playing at Bournemouth this evening, so really doubt the Hotel bit...

Becchio wasn't at the Wigan game. Someone started a rumour that it was reported on 5 Live, been confirmed by everyone who should know that it isn't true. As of right now there have been no bids for Becchio.

Sounded from the radio commentary like White did well at left back.

 

The second bit probably is just gossip. I'm hearing to many Becchio rumours to make me think he's on his way to Wigan
