We spent **** all, we bought one player for £1m and he couldn't get a start. We were probably playing a few bob in wages, but we didn't actually spend any serious money on fees.
Must say a lot about the ability of your squad if we're that bad and still above you. What assets did we have? Ghilas, McShane, Olofinjana? We'd have been better off coming down with the whole squad gone. If you were taking the piss it wouldn't make any sense anyway. Most expensive signing was Folan at £1 million and about double that of anyone else. Only big earner was Okocha on £15,000 a week and even that was subject to appearances and he only played 15 games. So, to conclude, not a lot.
Yeah we had the bellend brigade come on here taking the piss We wasnt massively bothered and in all honesty your shouldnt tonight
Can't have been that excessive.. We made our record signing of £1m for Caleb Folan that season and had a lot of free transfers in our promotion squad
And as I said to you, I already knew. I hate people that point out typos on forums. There isn't a poster on here or on the Hull forum that doesn't make errors. I only point out mistakes of those that have pointed out mine or other people's errors. The way I see, if you start pointing out typos on an informal forum, not only are you missing the point completely, but the likelihood is you've already lost the original argument.
When we finished 2nd in this league we spent a grand total of **** all I suppose it helps when you have people the class of Muzzy Izzet We proved that year you dont need to spend to do well. Just like Blackpool, Burnley and Reading have proved in more recent years Money helps but brings unless you win the points on the pitch money means nothing
Not so sure any more, I think those days have gone. OK, sides might not have spent as much as us and got promoted, but they still need to have some decent backing. Only Blackpool to my memory have gone up without having too much backing and they came straight back down.
Indeed. Though at least they're just up the road, so if we do play them, it should be a half decent crowd. I'm finding it hard to get excited either way, our reserves are getting a run out, but I really couldn't give a **** either way, it's really only the league that matters.
Are you listening to this on the radio, OLM? Is Prozzie playing well enough to warrant a start on Saturday?
I did listen and I would start him, not because he's great, but because he's better than our other options. We have a great team, but we have no strikers, we just have a couple of midfielders who can score. We will sign a sign a striker shortly, then it will be game on.
Massive win away at the mighty Orient. Bet you foxes are jealous of our giant killing run! You can swap Wood for Prossie now as long as you give us £5M to balance the deal. You know it makes sense!
