EDGE All you're doing is trying to deflect the blame on to Neil Lennon. I'm not going to agree with you. It is NOT Neil Lennon's fault that: - he was assaulted inside a stadium - a Rangers fan set up a website asking people to kill him - he's wrongly accused of racism by Rangers fans despite there being no evidence - he's physically assaulted in the street You can try and deflect all you like but it all boils down to "aye but..." in your attempts to justify your words. ps I always know I'm getting to you when you start calling me Donny
You're not getting to me Donny, all I am saying is that he doesn't deserve to be attacked, but IF someone acts in a provocative manner, they will be at risk of reprisals in the eyes of the loons that infest Scottish society in general.
Not as impressive as your ability to find an arguement then judge me to have lost said arguement. Chillax dude
I put you down as one of the more sensible Rangers fans on here Edge, but it seems the bitterness runs deep within you. No right minded person could possibly excuse the behaviour of some moron who goes to a football match and ends up attacking a coach/player but you and other seem to be trying your best. You never even saw the game or the incident in real time but according to you it MUST have been of Lennon’s own doing. Your solution to last night’s disgrace? Lennon should go on a course to control his temper? Are you ****ing deranged? You are as bad as the lowlife who tried to attack Lennon.
Dev Dev Dev..... Rather than blaming all and sundry for the reasons why Lennon is despised in this country by all supporters of all clubs, we should be trying to find out the reasons why he is on the recieving end of such vitrol attacks. To find the cure, we need to find the cause. I believe that rather than Lennon being forced out of the job, which would let the idiots win, he should learn how to conduct himself in the public eye. What's so wrong with that?
This was all his fault too: For a decade Neil Lennon has been a magnet for abuse, threats and violence. A Roman Catholic from Lurgan in County Armagh, he stopped playing international football for Northern Ireland in 2002 after a death threat, said to be from loyalist paramilitaries. Two men were sent to prison after assaulting Lennon in the street in the West End of Glasgow in 2008. And in January this year bullets addressed to the Celtic manager were intercepted at a postal sorting office. But the most serious threat was still to come. A total of three parcel bombs addressed to Neil Lennon have now been intercepted in the west of Scotland. The bomber has still not been arrested and Lennon and his family are living amid tight security which includes a panic button in their house. It's all his own fault.
Why did McCourt and McGinn get letter bombs? You can keep deflecting from the main point all you like but there is NO justification for any of this and the ONLY people to blame are the ones making the threats, posting hatred on forums and trying (and succeeding) in assaulting Mr Lennon. The endless "Aye but..." **** is getting a little tiresome now.
So you lose an argument, go into whatabout mode, then try and save face by denying you were ever in an argument in the first place. Actually re-reading the thread, you and Stereo were in complete agreement weren't you?
Now why did you have to go and say that? If that **** said it was sunny outside I'd go out wearing a raincoat and carrying an umbrella!
