Agreed especially those ones in Guilford & Surrey who were Liverpool fans in the 80's should be ashamed.
older united supporters don't think it offensive and use it themselves younger United fans seem to have made up a reason to be outraged that former players and lifelong supporters don't understand I've stopped using it because it occasionally upsets someone. On principle I'd like to keep using it because it's easy, short and been used forever but sometimes you have to bow to the ignorant and idiots purely for an easier day. why bother with some young, clueless, anorak superfan just for a harmless abbreviation? just say ManUtd and order another pint. You shouldn't, but it makes your day easier.
I thought I'd chip in here as a response is justified, Its working out fine thanks. Still European champions until May, hows your quest for a decent goalkeeper going?
how's that manager search going..... that's right, your stuck with a former Liverpool reject of a manager.
