A beef burger in a bun, is a burger in a bun, granted it could be chicken, fish or veggie
A burger between two or more slices of bread however, is a beef or chicken or veggie burger sandwich.
The definition being the bread should be sliced, and there must be two or more slices.
Doesnt need to be white bread, could be Rye, Spelt, Ciabatta but must be sliced.

No you don't make a waffle sandwich, you make something sandwiched between wafflles, to be known from henceforth as a Katmandu.

Now that's starting to get silly now - its bread!! cut into two pieces or sliced down the middle so its a sandwich by your rules and mine.

    Ahhhhh, top knowledge GlitF! <ok>

Now a tricky one, is there a difference between a "toastie", a "toasted sandwich", and two pieces of toast around a filling?

The more this goes on the more I feel right! they ar all sandwiches burgers are two bits of bread SLICED down the middle with a filling between them! and for me if it was two slices of nan with a filling its still an sandwich.

No its not, if l take a roll and slice it down the middle, its two pieces of roll, its not a "slice" of bread, we are determining a "slice" in the traditional sliced bread way.

We have been here before, Sandwich Cake, multiple pieces of sponge with a filling sandwiched between. it is not a sandwich, for the umpteenth time.

Go on Kat, just admit you're wrong, go on, just do it..... you know you wanna.

Look we are sandwiched between a rock and a hardplace with this argument and there is no garnishing it so lets just agree to disagree.

I once saw one of those Burger Vans, it may have been in South Shields, but not too sure so don't quote me, the name on the van was
"Martha's Big Baps", quite an eye catching name' not quite so catchy being martha's Big Sandwiches'
Strangely enough, I lost my appetite. <laugh>

    To the original question.
The king of sandwich's. Bacon, no sauce just butter and crispy bacon. Mmmm.......
In fact if there were no more bacon, life wouldn't be worth living.
