He also went on to say "There are also people I know and people who I haven't worked with who have been recommended to me. So there are three avenues to go down. To take on someone who you've never worked with before is a big risk, and if it's down to the board and SOD gets no say in the choice, then that's frankly asking for trouble
I hope he isn't another yes man and does what ever the board says. Should tell them "look im the head coach, I want to work with someone who I know, Not a total stranger that you want, Im the man with the coaching badges, You're all pencil pushers who try and balance the books. The assistant manager is my choice and mine alone. Let me go out and get who I want and accept it. Peace ****ers"
As I said it's a slightly worrying statement. I therefore hope SOD has someone in mind himself. The last thing we need is the board forcing an assistance on the Manager that he might not want or even get on with.
