Just go to Vegas. You'll be banging croupiers till the sun comes up. Day in day out. plus they have all those themed hotels, all round the world in one place.

Fly yourself to Cancun and go mad for a week during Spring-break and then take the Gringo Trail through the Yucatan, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras following the Mayan ruins. Slightly dangerous, but loads of fun - don't need too much Spanish either.

Then take the job in Cape Town.

Backpacking at it's finest - Australia and New Zealand were too easy.

That does sound like some fun.....

I declined the job in Cape Town, although they seemingly wanted me (Can't blame them :emoticon-0176-smoke)
Didn't turn out to be the same tasks as I presumed.
Hunt continues for a travel point/job

Does anyone know any good job searching sites?

    Typical English place :)
Magaluf feels more like a "Bring ya mates and go mental" resort.
I'll probably go solo, depending on if any mates quit their day jobs/school, but unlikely at the moment

To be honest the work thing is the biggest hurdle.

Australia is a decent shout though, because there is a massive mining boom out in the West that loads of casual workers have headed out that way and it has left a lot of opportunities in the service industries in places like Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

You could always just rock up in Oz with a work visa and take it from there, but you used to have to have a bond of a couple of thousand dollars to prove you could support yourself and a return flight booked.

    Might be different now though.

Then again there's always the Coco Bongo's in Cancun during Spring Break - It's in March!!!

They look exactly like the ladies in Stoke.....
Heard that Mexico/South America is pretty sick in a nice way :)
Cape Town/Australia is kind of pushing it for me really. I tend to get some home sickness, which would be kind of hard to sort out when you live in Australia. I believe i've been home around 5 times since I came here in August 2011, which has been rough enough to handle.

I can imagine having more or a proper life in North America/Europe.
We'll see anyway. I'll give some updates on where I'll go if anyone's interested ^-^

Would be fairly easy to get a job here if you have a degree.

My favorite city in the US is New Orleans, favorite small city Charleston SC. Avoid New York, I cant stand that place.

Love New Orleans and Charleston. Can't agree on New York, though. I love the city!

Febbos, our currency here in the US is currently pretty bad. Our government keeps printing money for some reason which doesn't help the value of our money. If you end up here be sure to get a decent wage. You'll need some extra cash if and when you moved back to Europe.

Have more direct family relatives in the US than the UK and Aus combined. Have only been there once and did avoid New York. Favourite city is New Orleans( fav.aunt lived there) and favourite small city is Fort Worth( fav. cousin lives there).

My husband has been there many times on business and also ranks New Orleans as his favourite city with the " Venice of Texas " as his small city pick. He also avoided New York.

Money aint a problem ;) Nah, but I've got some savings.

Speaking of travelling I'm not sure if the Stokies I ran into the other day have experienced any.
Sat down at a local place down in city centre with some Danish mates and had a couple of drinks. Some guys came up to us telling us to speak English, since we're in England <laugh> Apparently not the same thing to not speak Spanish when on holiday in Spain :emoticon-0112-wonde

Would be miles better than Stoke, but I'm tired of England atm.

I have decided to go for a trip around Europe this summer, mostly by train/foot.
Will try to get some temporary volounteer jobs during the journey, to extend the trip and in some way shorten the costs.
    Seems fairly easy through http://www.helpx.net/findhosts.asp?network=9
Probably one month with some traveling followed by this. Will probably have some set destinations that will change depending on who you bump into.

    Anyone else going? <ale>
