Flyer I totally agree with you but I also concur with Norway in that I don't think an appeal will be upheld. He started off two footed and I think they will back the ref.
You have to get both feet off the ground to slide but its only two footed when both sets of studs are showing. It wouldn't surprise me if the appeal was rejected, just think back to derrys red card.

I haven't commented on the tackle mate. Only thing I've said is it will only be rescinded if Mike Dean goes back on his decission. About the tackle, for me it was a type of tackle that football should be about and was about when I fell in love with it. Love those and especially if it's made by a Rangers player. But from the refs angle/view I can see why he made the call. He was behind Wilshere and from that angle it looks two footed and with excessive force. Don't know what Kompany was thinking to be honest. 2-0 up against ten men, in a area that representet little danger and only 15 minutes left. There was no point in going in the way he did, and in the current climate of refereeing decissions he was always running the risk of getting sent off.
I reckon he will get off and it sadens me that Derry got ripped off by that cheating Ashley Young and Kompanys was worse.
I can see why the ref gave it, his second foot came forward after the tackle was made so it looked like a two footed tackle. This is another reason why we need video evidence for every goal, pen and red card. Apparently uniteds winner against Liverpool was offside too.
Its been confirmed that he will be available to play us. The red is rescinded even though the ref wouldnt give it a second look and that is why we hate refs, hes wrong, he knows hes wrong yet still wont admit it.
I agree mate, should never have been a red but compare it to Derry or some of the other injustices? FA are muppets
