Puncheon was in Yahoo Sports team of the week as well. Just shows that we must have been playing well, despite the pressure we were under towards the end.

We were. I didn't suffer any of the anxieties I read other people had. I thought we kept Villa at bay extremely well. They had a few chances, but the only one where I breathed a sigh of relief was when they hit the bar. Even on MOTD, Alan Hansen said we deserved the 3 points, as you commented the other day.

Really? I was at the game and I was ****ting myself! Especially when Halsey added on time to the 5 minutes injury time.

Michael Johnson has been released from his contract at Man City. He was on £40k a week before his release, and his contract still had another 18 months to run.

Rumoured to have been offered a severance package before Christmas.

Have you seen how fat he is? Doubt he can run let alone play football.

For those on here who have been claiming recently that the 4-4-2 formation is dead, you might want to read this article on how the 4-2-3-1 is far from perfect. It's a pretty interesting read.

If anything, this demonstrates that all formations have their place, and teams need to be capable of switching between them on command. 4-4-2 will never die.

Anyone who thinks 4-4-2 is dead has never played FM13

Got a second interview, the site you're meant to log in to is meant to have a link 'schedule interview' (indeed it normally does as I used to to schedule my first interview) however there doesn't appear to be a link. I e-mailed them and phoned them but the person I was put in touch with seems to have gone home. I'm now stressing out with my unscheduled interview.

Try later as sometimes sites just have a glitch, but don't worry. Phone first thing in morning if no luck. Congratulations on getting to a 2nd interview.

What about this nonsense of Lance Armstrong's contrition...he's just sorry he got caught.

Indeed, I read Nicole Cooke's condemnation of the cheats in Cycling, and she had no words of sympathy for Lance Armstrong.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cycling/20946301

Some poeple may think she was being harsh, but he's lived the life, walked the walk, etc... and some have worked every bit as hard without resorting to performance enhancing drugs, just to end up being alsorans. Drugs worked for Armstrong, and I've no doubt, that in a world still very much mistakenly built on celebrity, he'll still benefit from cheating, in the end.

Nicole Cooke got her Olympic Gold medal absolutely cleanly [One hopes - they are all suspect] and her lasting sorrow in her sport is that whatever she says, she is tainted by Lance Armstrong and his ilk.

QPR beat WBA 1 0 in the FA Cup, that will distract them from the real deal.

Or may give them confidence. I think you'll find that good FA Cup progress tends to be considered, by all professionals involved, to be a good thing.

Whether it is or isn't in reality, is another matter, altogether.

EVERYONE: Whether it is or isn't in reality, is another matter..! :)

Talking of the FA Cup, I'm just back from Brentford v Southend.

Awful first half, 2nd Southend decided to turn up.

MOTM undoubtedly Paul Smith in goal (ex-Saint), and Harlee Dean looks to be a real talent too.

Reminded me of what we have with Adkins though, watching a Sturrock team.

Also a mention for another of our old boys, Uwe Rosler in the home dugout.
