Where'd you hear that? Would take him in a heartbeat, Cabaye as well. Although I doubt we'll get any of them two
"I am interested in Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. Today, these clubs are above Newcastle," Ben Arfa told BeIn Sport "During the summer, there was contact with Chelsea. But I wanted to stay in Newcastle. When you've tasted England, it's hard to go elsewhere. There is everything to make you happy here."
Sorry Bluff looks like your gonna have to wait St Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang says he is a target for Premier League clubs, but says he will not be moving until the summer, reports Sky Sports. The Gabon international has been linked with Manchester City, Manchester United and is also understood to be attracting interest from Newcastle, who are in the market for a new forward after offloading Demba Ba to Chelsea.
Another LFC f**k up IMO, should we really need to see a Norwegain International for a weeks trial, after scouting him several times, if our scouting is any good.Doesnt BR trust our scouts. My biggest issue with BR, isnt tactics coaching related, its transfer related. The reason we didnt get Txiki Begiristain is because of BR, because he wants final say on transfers, Txiki would have have LFCs best signing in the last 5 yrs, BETTER THAN SUAREZ,Borini and Allen although promise for the future, we could have got a lot better for £26m from Spain or S America. Is the plan if BR hasnt worked with them to offer them a weeks trial, if thats what BR thinks of our scouts we are f**ked LFC lookin f**kin clueless in the transfer market again
Interesting. I'm pretty sure that we're behind Arsenal and the Chavs in the pecking order though. Especially as Chelsea can offer him a **** load of money. We need Enrique to get on the blower (nothing rude Bluff!) and try and persuade him. Cabaye can come along too if he wants
I think harsh but I understand your point. Rodgers openly admitted the other day he wants to keep LFC british and especially local and homegrown. He knows that there is "sexy" signings out there ( his words) but thinks LFC need to have a British heartbeat. I understand that, but at the same time, the best players are elsewhere and cheaper as well!
Why not? The Carroll thing is interesting though, he'd be up for it and HBA might be too. We can dream right?
But we already have some good young British talent coming through. Why do we need to buy some more? We need to supplment the British talent with European experience, class and finesse. I agree that we should be buying some local talent for our youth teams and then developing them.
I understand that too United have always had the British core I think IMO, we have that now, we dont need to buy British, apart from perhaps a CB we dont need squad players We have Wisdom,Kelly,Hendo,Allen,Stevie,Carra,Johnson,Studge,Shelvs,Downing,Raheem, thats all the Brits we need From now on it should be ONLY QUALITY that counts, and only guys who will IMPROVE THE 1ST 11 From Now on LFC should be looking at buying, players like Isco,Damiao,Muniain,Belhanda,Benat,Eriksen LFC in the summer shouldnt buy anyone for less than £15m, and no one from the uk ( except players under 20)
IMO not getting Txiki was a bigger f**k up than signing Carroll for £35m IMO LFC should have 4 scouts 1 for uk 1 for europe 1 who lives permanent in South America 1 who lives permanent in Spain
Not sure how close we were to getting him, but I agree. It would have added much needed experience to our management structure. Even someone like Cryuff or Van Gaal would be nice. I know both men have big egos but they are proven winners with vast experience. They share the same ideologies as Brendan as well so the style would run through the club from top to bottom.
That is where the best deals are BUT the work permit issue screws them over all the time. Hence why the portuguese, spanish, and Italian league can get the unkowns earlier and then make a killin off them ( see PORTO for the best definition of this- James Rodriguez, Falcao, Jackson Martinez, Alvaro Periera, etc.
