Sounds good. Whatever standard Norwegian football is...he's won their equivalent of Player of the Season, has played for their national side, is rated by OGS who knows a thing or two about football (despite being his manager and therefore biased), and was on the radar of Liverpool. Fingers crossed.

Says on Echo site that Saints didn't mess around and offered the asking price, whereas Liverpool wouldn't match it so the trial was cancelled. Liverpool obviously wanted him as a back up at a lower price, but it made sense for us to go in at the top as we need a CB more than Liverpool. No point in faffing about...if we want him, offer the price, and get him in now. The player says he wants to play in the PL, but wanted to go where he would get get attention. Think he meant where he was wanted, would get games, and be helped in his development. Couldn't pick a better side for that than Saints.

I don't know about that, I just gave it to Nigel, he said that there was no contract but he could do with the pen and that he should've had 7 or 8 already. I just agreed that a man in his position should be better equipped with stationary and then left.

Not sure if this means anything or not, but the sky camera's are at SMS, believed to be for a new signing (Forren) - however, I'm sure it's just coverage rather than an actual announcement but I could be wrong
