Not saying you said it as I don't know but a lot of fans have been asking what our scouts were doing, why wasn't we finding the cheap talent that is out there? etc. Well, IMO this is a player that is unknown and that the scouts have obviously seeked. Surely we can't then complain about it too?
But he's 24 and playing in the Norwegian league! hardly a Spanish starlet! and surely our scouts should have seen him enough/scouted him well enough not to need to see him train to judge whether we should buy him??

If our scouts used You Tube we wouldnt only sign British players. Fact: When Sven Goran Erikson first became manager of Man City he did not have time to scout transfers so he scouted his signings on you tube.

If Forren, a norwegian league player, doesn't want to come here for a trial and would prefer to go to Saints then we should just stop going after him. He'd be a small fish in a big pond and it seems he'd rather be an average fish in an average pond. Whatever happened to Wilson? He had such promise but never got played because Rafa left.
Every time I saw Wilson play, he didn't look anything special. It's a shame because I believe he was a regular at Rangers and looked very promising. For some reason, it just didn't work out.
I thought for a 19 year old he looked like he played well, but then I saw Kelly and Wisdom play RB and thought perhaps Wilson just wasn't at their standard... I still think we should have loaned him straight back out to Rangers if he wasn't going to get regular games.
I'm surprised Liverpool were in for Forren, it's not often they sign reasonably priced, talented players. You could always spunk £15m on Titus Bramble, I hear he's available.
