We DO need someone,JD seems to have gone off the boil,Ade at the ACON's,but then again ,i don't think he's ever scored regulaly enough, don't really rate him,and Demsey isn't really a striker

just like we had our blip last season, it could happen all over again in a slightly different way, if we don't sort this situation out.

    February 2012 deja vu, anyone?

Harry hasn't mate, Cisse hasn't played a minute in QPR's last 3 games (been on bench so not injured).
SSN were saying yesterday that QPR were trying to tout him around, I think it'd be a smart buy if Levy isn't going to splash major cash. Probably be available for around £2m if that I reckon.

didn't realise he'd missed the last few games! last I saw of him, it looked like' Arry had restored a little bit of confidence in him.
Agree with you mate, another deadline day rush I expect, but this is just the sort of deal Ican see happening. The fans will go mad. There's only so long that their patience will last over this striker situation. (and also the "modric" replacement as people refer to it as). if we don't make the CL... well....

Yeah definitely, I won't be pleased knowing Cisse could/ would be the striker we brought in and like you say if we don't reach CL it'll be even more devastating but from a realistic point of view, I just can't see Levy splashing out on a top drawer striker/ Luka replacement (maybe he sees Holtby as Luka's replacement?) and therefore I think Cisse is probably a good bet while we're short up top. The fact we have a little French contingent too - Hugo, Younes, Benny (French born) - He'd settle in nicely.

Here's hoping Levy stuns us all!

Apparently Lisandro Lopez could be going to Juve for about £8mill. Like I said in the summer after when we were in for Lloris, I don't understand why we don't go for some of their attacking players, I haven't seen them play in awhile but I would've thought the likes of Lopez, Briand, Gomis and Bastos could do a good job for us if we signed them.

Good player Lopez. Juve are getting a great buy there for £8m.

Brian reminds me a bit too much like Remy, so not sure whether he'd be a step up on what we have but a great squad addition no doubt.

Bastos seems too inconsistent, remember reading a year or so ago that he got abuse from Lyon fans due to poor performances, not sure how he's been this year.

Gomis, although good, isn't a "next level" striker in my eyes. Would be a welcome addition like Briand but just don't see him as someone of a higher calibre to what we have. Though while Ade's been **** and is off at AFCON, I'd be delighted with any striker coming in at the moment.

    From the OS:

"Former striker Robbie Keane will train with the Club from tomorrow (Wednesday) for two weeks as part of his preparations ahead of returning to LA Galaxy for the start of the new MLS season."

Just thinking, why on earth don't we make that a loan? It's not as if we have an abundance of strikers at the moment, even if it would be for two weeks, having Keano around the place will be great.

It is probably because a loan deal has to be for at least 28 days.

Talking of loan deals, it seems the club may have put Jake's to QPR on hold. It would be easy to interpret this as meaning Sandro's injury may be worse than first thought.

Yes, I mentioned this on the Man Utd match thread, lots of rumours about Sandro being more injured than the club are owning up to.

I think that the club might've put a stop to that deal after being unable to see where Livermore fits in.
M'bia's playing there now, they're being linked heavily with M'Vila, so when's he going to play? No point in him being back-up at another Premier League side.
Picking him for the U21 game yesterday also suggested it wasn't happening.

If we go with both Parker and Sandro against Man Utd and it works, then Livermore would ideal to fill in.

as part of a 4231, pnp?

we've said many times how it doesn't work with Livermore alongside either Sandro or Parker....

I know Roo, but I'm talking about what could happen, rather than what I'd like to see happen.
