"""""""""""" 14/01/2013 by West London Sport Luke Young took a big step towards a Premier League comeback by playing 80 minutes of an Under-21 match against Bristol City on Monday evening. The defender has not made a first-team appearance this season but manager Harry Redknapp intends to include him in QPRâs next 25-man squad. Young was frozen out under Redknappâs predecessor Mark Hughes and in any case has been struggling with a hip condition. Rangers lost the game 4-0. Meanwhile, QPR are set to table a formal offer for Rennes midfielder Yann MâVila and remain in talks to sign Loic Remy from Marseille. """""""""""""
I'm prob in the minority here but I still rate Luke Young. he's got speed and isn't afraid to get forward and help in attack. I'd like to see him in the 25.
We got a lot of right backs, but with with Dyer gone, Bosingwa maybe out too, and Fabio on the left side maybe, Young could be the back up to Onouha and a better alternative if Harry wants a RB getting forward.
I liked him last season, lets hope he can get some of that back. He can bloody well shoot better than half the team, FFS
Did we know that he was that badly injured....I thought he had tried it on with Sparkys cat or something....hadn't realised the injury was so bad...explains a bit. I wonder if harry thinks we are nearly strong enough in the defence (on the back of a couple of improving displays), Harry knows when Nielsen is going...bet he has talked him into March (but if we are still in it...May), Young back, Fabio and Onuha improving., Haim as utility cover...M'bia (if he doesn't go to the scum). I think Harry may only be looking for one player now
I like him and hope he stays. someone did some stupid stato thing and blamed him for loads of goals and basically canned him not long ago Stato didnt mention the keeper let the ball in or the other defender around... Seems some dont like him for some reason? not sure why? Great competition for an ever improving Onuha i think ?!
I have always liked Young you maybe forgetting that Onouha's preferred position is CB therefore if he slides over once Nelsen departs young would indeed become a very useful replacement. He may even be able to play as an emergency CB got to be a better option than Ferdy.
I liked what Young did getting forward, like at Stoke last season, but he did let let his man go alarmingly on his right side of goal last winter and contributed big to some unecessary goals against.
