Haven't seen him play much. Or at all, to be honest. But given his status/pedigree I think it's quite possible he is a cut above what we have. At any rate, I doubt Saints are looking to sign him as a backup. But I also don't think it would stop them from still purchasing Astori or someone like that if Saints feel the price is right.
Give it time. As it's a transfer saga involving us, he'll be going to you next week as well, making stops along the way with four or five other teams. Word of advice: don't take any of the paper talk too seriously until there's some sort of scandal involving someone close to Forren.
A couple of internationals at centre back would be good.......and remember he is a European centre back so would not take so long to bed in perhaps.
If we get this Norwegian CB can we get a Swedish one to go with him, deja vu time! Claus/Killer mark 2.
If we do, I want all interviews in their native tongue. Have got used to subtitled Scandanavians (a la The Killing, Bridge etc).
Forren has pulled out of his trial with Liverpool leaving us all clear (yeah right) to sign him. Methinks he didn't want to be treated like a 16 year old trainee, and good on him for that.
Just to upset everyone after a pacy centre back......by all accounts he's not terribly.....um.....pacy.
Solskjaer saying that the deal with Southampton is very close to completion. Looks like we got us a centre back.....
Really really hope so. Solskjaer was also quoted last year as saying "Forren is good enough for Manchester United."
