Yes... Katmandu's credentials as a Newcastle fan are to be questioned – in fact, are you the same person?

You don't need to do any trawling, I'll save you the bother. I've never commented on Remy as a player other than saying he's in poor form (which is true) and that I'd prefer Aubamayeng, even Odemwingie! – allegedly our other targets.

As for saying I only want players to sign who want to play for NUFC, well that's clearly outrageous and 'childish'... Can't believe what I was thinking on that one.

Perhaps have a proper read next time and avoid assumptions. You might learn something or in fact, funky concept this, realise that you're arguing with someone you might agree with...

I'll clarify that, because it's not fair.

What I meant is he seems illogically cynical and down on Newcastle, ALL the time. Even I take a break from bleak NUFC pessimism from time to time.

And he's quite keen to immediately side with rival supporters than engage in a reasonable discussion with a fellow fan. Other than that he's bloody great! :D

I just hope the board haven't put all their eggs in one striker basket.

The only good point is it's the 14th of Jan and not the 31st. Let's move on. Onward and upward (hopefully)

So glad we got a bit of a break after Reading. Hopefully get a signing or two then.

To add fuel to this already burning out of control fire...

Queens Park Rangers are close to completing the £8m signing of Loic Remy after hijacking Newcastle's move for the France striker.
The 26-year-old had been due to arrive on Tyneside for talks on Sunday night but did not appear.
QPR matched Marseille's asking price and have now offered Remy a more lucrative contract, understood to be more than £70,000 per week.
Remy had previously indicated he would not join the Loftus Road club.

Newcastle are privately stunned by the turnaround but there is a sense that if Remy sees the QPR offer as a better deal, then this setback may ultimately prove a blessing to the club.
QPR manager Harry Redknapp believes Remy's goals may be enough to lift the club away from relegation having scouted the player a number of times this season.
Remy has made 14 Ligue 1 appearances for Marseille this season but only started two games.

He was left out of Marseille's squad for their trip to Sochaux on Sunday.
Magpies manager Alan Pardew had identified Remy as the man to replace the departed Demba Ba.

    From BBC Sport website.

Wow, he didn't even show to meet us. Money grabbing *****.

French sources are claiming he will be on 86k a week with a relegation clause, that would seem about right, I think

Feels distinctly like another Bryan Ruiz this one...

    Phew!! :D

Good luck to him at QPR, you pay your money you take your choice. There's much better value out there though, we need a proper goalscorer and all this hullabaloo provides a nifty smokescreen.

Huh? Did you mean Ameobi coming back, from suspension?

Well, yeah I suppose so. Given that he has more goals than Remy this season you could say that.

I did mean a new player and not a returning one that "feels like a new signing" but whatever floats...

Erm the good thing here is though its a Bryan Ruiz situation, it's not on the last day of the window so we still can bring in somebody.

If he signs for QPR, we've dodged a major ****ing bullet.

If he signs for us, it shows there's more to him than just the £££'s.

    Win, win.

We may dodge the bullet but we get hit by the grenade. Having no striker in would leave cisse as the only striker available. And no, shola is ****e

How dare you suggest I'm not a fan I pay money and support the players, however I'm not a fan of Ashley and I never will be . I also can see the grass on the other side. QPR are a bigger club in terms of future prospect if they stay up simple as that.

I actually feel sorry for Colo as he's wates his talent here on false promises from the board etc. The like of Ben Arfa, Cabaye etc as people I suggest move or they will waste their careers and silverware prospects for sure.
I can understand why he didn't sign for a club offereing half the wages that also might go down that's aim is to be a billy basic side that comepetes in the league at best!! QPR and Fernandes genuinley want big things for QPR and are prepared to pay the price.

When will fans grasp that these PEOPLE want success, money or both and both clubs are offering simply money at the moment, however success is more likley long term if QPR stay up.
