Well he had a good season last year, but hasn't pulled up any trees this season (but not many games either). I hope, IF it happens, he will deliver the goals that we desperately need. Would have really like Gouffran if I'm honest, but Remy has the history to back it all up (we hope)
She on the Barclays PL channel just asked could Remy's move to Newcastle be scuppered by an 11th hour bid from Harry and QPR !
Lets hope so..too much Black and white on his wall....time to turn it blue and white.. http://www.loic-remy.com/#/wall
Great signing, his wages though if you go down will you want a 70k a week striker? Thats mental, i'm not saying you will go down i dont care either way but the odds arn't really on your side.
If we do he won't be around for long, although plenty of other deadweights will still be, and earning lots as well.
Worst case scenario (the drop) is that we should be able to sell him on to another club. Anyway, methinks with the new players coming in and with the team starting to click ................ there are better days ahead! As they say in the classics ............. "the best form of defence, is attack"
They did that because they are skint, need to offload players and I'm sure we are paying a big chunk of Barton's wages. They are still paying Remy so cost isn't a reason for him to be a sub for most of this year. Just curious. Col - agree with the service to him worry. Harold is a naturally attack minded manager, despite the evidence of the lat 2 league games. Presumably having watched him 7 times he knows how this lad plays and will set up the team to make sure Adel and Granero get the ball to him in the right place. But this begs the question why didn't he try this with Cisse? Anyway, not a done deal yet.
Just thinking out aloud ................. maybe Harry is thinking like many fans, Cisse attitude stinks! We all know he has the talent, it is just whether he decides to have a go, which seems non existent lately.
Cisse has had no service and to be fair,he has scored a few when he has.I just think we need a strong striker to play with him or Remy. Ok,Tarbs is an issue but Im getting sick of watching an isolated, lone striker for most of the season. 2 stikers will give us 2 chances to score. We cant rely on an inch perfect through ball from Tarbs.Just hasnt happened,so play two up top please!
Both Remy and M'Vila feature in Skysports 'ten transfers to avoid'. I don't know how well researched the article is, but in the case of Remy it says that his form has dipped worryingly since the end of last season and he is carrying a thigh injury (linked?). His manager prefers two other strikers to him. M'Vila is said to have disciplinary issues as well. Let's hope they're not bringing attitude with them, we have enough already.
Music to our ears ................. could not have said it better. Playing one striker is like saying, "were not chasing a win, we only want to score to draw."
Redknapp claimed QPR shouldn’t be paying high wages after the club’s 1-0 defeat at St James’s Park last month. “(QPR) have got a stadium that holds 18,000 people – you shouldn’t be paying massive wages when you have 18,000 people,
Well, I wouldn't be taking everything Harold says as Gospel mate, the tune does change pretty regularly. If we get Remy and/or M'vila, could well be short term even if we do stay up. Wonder if they realize the inevitable result of not trying hard enough will be a little chat with Clint and Shaun behind the changing rooms?
