  2. Loic Remy on his way to London apparently..... Believed heading for QPR, but we were once interested as I recall?
Either way, a enormous slap in the mush for The Barcodes - as if their season wasn't sufficiently off the rails already!!

From L'Arse and us, through Newcastle and settling on QPR - there's something very, very wrong with that picture if he's the talent he's been made out to be by all n sundry in the media!

  4. Well, you can hardly blame him for having 2nd thoughts about Newcastle - the only future he could see there currently would be a Championship one.

Whatever the case, the Newcastle board is ablaze.

  7. As a mid-season lower priced (squad) option, should we reconsider Stephane Sessegnon? Took a while to settle in the PL but appears to be putting in consistent performances for Sunderland. We were interested allegedly 2 years ago.

Moorph - I would be incandescent if I was a Barcode

Then again, if I was then I'd have given up after Keegan's love it, love it rant and started supporting the Falcons or summat!

    Haha.

I'll be incandescent if we don't sign a striker before the end of this window.

    This will be me

Oh - just seen this on twitter

This seems to be from one of the 'bigger' ITKs - make of it what you will.

#THFC withdrew from Moutinho talks. Unsure as to whether they'll go back.

Is it confirmed that Arry has nabbed Remy from Newcastle?

Joey Barton was the one who said he was going to qpr, so although its not confirmed, that's probably the case.

Why QPR? - might be something to do with the reported 96k euros p/w

Not seen anything about moutinho. - I've read that's very much still on, but we await answers from their end.

However, it's looking like Damiao is a no go now. They want more money apparently and keep moving the goalposts from what I've been reading... I never want to hear his name again.

Surely we must sign a top striker before the window ends,we'll do nothing with the present lot. Defoe has scored one in eight or something like that.

Yeah a top striker would be lovely TMT but I just can't see it happening to be honest. I'm hoping the silence around WHL at the moment is a good thing but that's literally it, hope. Realistically I think our money is being saved for the stadium and therefore unless there's a truly desperate need (some could argue we are desperate, and I'd pretty much agree) to buy a "top class" player, I think we'll only be seeing more "Holtby's" & "Fryers'" arrive rather than any "Moutinho's" or "Damiao's".

Now I noticed someone that could be available on a cheap yesterday when watching SSN - Djibril Cisse. Does anyone reckon he could be a "Saha" signing? A decent striker who can keep Defoe and Ade on their toes and chip in with a few goals but naturally isn't a long term option, nor someone to take us to the next level. I reckon he'll be cheap and despite his aggression issues, he is a decent striker. Seeing as it's increasingly unlikely we'll see Damiao/ Negredo/ Llorente etc join, I don't think it'd be a bad idea to get him in on perhaps a 6 month deal with a potential of a further 12 months based on performances...

who's it going to be though Thor? i literally can't think what "top" strikers are out there for a) the money we're willing to pay, and, b) the wages we can afford. - They're probably the hardest acquisition. - it's no wonder we've not bothered spending money on one for ages now.

if the reported bid of £15m is true, then that's roughly what we're prepared to spend, i'm guessing. (bearing in mind he's our top target and we've been trying to get him for 2 years.... and... this is is supposedly the 3rd time we've placed a £15m bid.) - so, who on earth will we get for that money? everyone knows we're desperate, that's the problem. - and this problem isn't going to go away, no matter what window we're in. we will continue to need a striker, and more so, a marquee striker should we make the CL.

We either need to pay up for Damiao, or just move on once and for all. as it stands, we've wasted too much time.

I'd be surprised if 'Arry lets him go mate. he's been using him a fair bit since taking over. - I know they've supposedly got Remy now, but I expect that's to partner Cisse. Both being french an'all that.
