I've explained this to AKCJ before but the fact is you guys don't want to listen to it because it isn't what you want to hear.

Our owners said it was £2.6m but these guys say all sorts of crap. If we take everything they say as gospel, we're going to go and play outside of Hull in a new super-stadium, we don't need scouting because it's all on the internet and we would have signed Messi last January but Barmby turned him down because he fancied a challenge instead.

We really don't have any shame in paying a lot for a striker if it is true, no one gives a **** what he cost we just want him to do well.

Your obsession with arguing to everything that's posted is why everyone keeps accusing you of being a schoolkid.

So it's a case of the boy that cried wolf? I can't imagine you're best pleased with your owners then. Heaving more pressure onto your players with false price tags. Perhaps why the big man has failed?

At the time they needed to make Barmby look silly (he said they didn't back him last January and they claimed they were happy to sign Billy Sharp on circa £20-30k a week) and Prossy was that statement. Bruce wanted him I'm sure of that, but I'm pretty sure we didn't pay what we say we did for him. It might just be that £2.6m is the final figure based on appearances, goals, promotion etc. or it could just be bollocks and we only paid something like £1m for him. It made sense to inflate it though, from Paderborn's point of view to justify selling their star player and from our point of view to send a message out to the (at the time) disillusioned fans.

I mean who quotes transfer fees in a foreign currency? Someone who wants to make it sound like more that's who.

So far, we have only payed 1m for him with the eventual figure rising up to 2.6m. That, however, depends on the appearances he makes and goals that he scores!

So they wanted to make a club legend look silly by making out they over paid for their players?

Glad we've got Top and co running our club!

I do, it's from a source very close to the club. He's called Steve Bruce!

If you wanted something to take the piss out of, you should have been looking at the way the club was run last May/June time when we had no manager or signings.

Signing Proschwitz (as well as appointing Bruce) ws the turning point where people started to realise we'd got our act together a bit. He hasn't been in the team much but that's because for most of the season Aluko and Simpson were doing well rather than him doing anything wrong.

Was more to do with the initial "we've signed this german unknown and he's obviously going to be top scorer brigade" that bombarded us through the summer.

The same thing happened when I got a little too giddy after some silly overpaid signings like Beckford and Mills and you threw it back, rightly, in our face.

Take the hit just as we did, it's a football forum where banter and inter club chat is encouraged. No need to resort to calling us '******ations' and 'illiterate'.

I'm just having a little pop at you all and you're getting a bit too wound up. Don't want to start arguing like petty prepubescents again because it devalues the board for those who want to casually look for news and post occasionally.

My advice would be to take it on the chin and have a laugh and a joke with us. Put it this way, i'd rather have the season you're having while spending the amount you did on Prozzie rather than sitting in mid table obscurity like Leeds <cheers>

I have given her your IP address and access to an IP tracker..... she was mumbling something about a Korean market and that they would even pay a small sum for a 'neutered one' as she left clutching her pruning shears and her machete ....

In fairness to the We've signed a German and he's going to be top scorer brigade, they were also the ones who were saying how good Aluko was on the Leicester boards to be rebuffed with he was a Rangers reject, etc, etc blah, blah, blah. And Aluko has proved to be a good player
