You can't buy his record though.

He's either ****e or very effective at getting a club up.

7 promotions if i'm not mistaken.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's 7 sackings, too.

He's also got a fair few relegations though, or rather relegations of teams he's built, he normally gets sacked before they actually get relegated

I think a club would be stupid to appoint him if he got sacked by Leeds, plays a **** style of football, builds for the short term and if by some miracle his team did get promoted it would have 0% chance of staying in the PL

Yea, if only it wasn't the most expensive squad we have assembled in the last 8 years....

Assembled by Colin himself I might add as well

When you assemble a team of your own it takes time for the team to gel, we should know! It took Pearson a year!

While I'd normally agree with this, you could argue that Pearson as only just finished building his team with the signing of Wood. I don't think any of us truly realised how much rebuilding Pearson needed to do. I for one thought he'd inherited a good squad, but the fact that he's cleared so many out and results have improved accordingly, shows I was wrong.

Looking at it that way, you could argue the team has started gelling from the moment it was completed. Or at least this is the way it appears, maybe it's still too early to judge, but the signs are very promising.

He did have to dismantle Svens overpaid army, so thats prob why it has taken longer. Saying that, we still have Kasper Nugent SeanStL and Konchesky, so there was some benefit to the Sven era.

Yes, but all his signings point to short term thinking. In a year or two's time most will be too old to even play in the division and a couple with retire. So there will be no basis of a team that he has built in a couple of years time anyway. He has absolutely no concern for the long term and he has also said the whole time that he has been looking at getting promoted THIS season and is more than likely going to retire come the end of the season as well. He got rid of players like Clayton needlessly and brought in players like Norris who are older and less effective, for me there is absolutely no defending the guy

He talks as if he is a god as well which probably pisses me off more than anything else to be honest

Honestly Im close to not bothering going to watch them tbh the football is awful to watch truly awful.

My friend is close to breaking through into the first team (although micheal browns keeping him out haha) and the other day he came off the pitch after a man of the match performance in the reserves after scoring from CM and setting 1 up Warnock said to him "you don't need to pass it all the time lad just get it in the box" WTF

Check out this recent thread looks like we both had a lucky escape here http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/190293-Micheal-Johnson?p=4087988#post4087988

The Clayton deal was a must tbh he left and we signed Green Austin and Norris 2 of which are better than Clayton 1 whos just a bit worse one of the only things hes done that I would class as good deal. Clayton first part of last season was exceptional but his fitness is horrendous

I'm not sure it was a must. Bear in mind we got the same for Clayton as we spent on Peltier for example, I would have preferred to see Clayton and Austin in CM or Clayton and Tonge rather than having Peltier or Norris and Varney

Josh you have to bare in mind he had a full squad to build and Micheal Brown hadn't extended at this point.

So we had Clayton and Brown
    or
    Austin Green Norris Brown Tonge

Appointing Warnock was always going to be a recipe for disaster. The more and more the Leeds freefall goes on, the more I think this "Takeover" is a smokescreen.

If you think about it, there were constantly Anti-Bates protests, Leeds income was dropping, he needed to simmer the fans down. Perfect time to strike a deal with a new investor to make out as though the power has shifted to shut the fans up and bring them back in. It just doesn't make sense that there's been a Takeover yet Bates is quite happy to remain there.

Warnock just wanted a job, and when he was announced as Leeds manager, I knew that all the bookies predictions for Leeds going up, would be wrong. They're not getting anywhere near Promotion for a long time.

I hope he gets the boot, but then again, I don't because I like seeing them suffer :emoticon-0136-giggl

Adding to the fact that you have (had?) a Chairman that hates Leeds and a manager that hates Leeds too. It's just not been a good past few Seasons for you has it?
