Especially when you see your game on the shelf next week for £40 I let my lad make one trade and after that I said, you will burn them before giving them back to gamestop in future. That way they can make in excess of £100 on one copy of a game. if it gets traded in one or more times
ebay man. ebay! I have a few I could get rid of. I enjoy that you can download the games now as well, saves time and having to deal with that ****. BUT you can get them cheaper if you look around.
I don't buy\trade games, I'm a PC gamer. I buy em and keep em. The lad has the patience of a stressed cat with explosive diarrhea so waiting for ebay when the shop is 500 yards away.
I have 1 and love trading in. It's been ok for me as I only started gaming again about 2 years ago after a gap of about 10 years so there were loads of games for me to catch up with and they were all cheap as considered old, I think I've mainly caight up now so it is getting a bit more expensive. Last traded Fallout 3 and got £10 after buying for £15 so pretty good yes? Bought Farcry for £38 minus the £10 and hoping to get £20 for it towards a new game. May seem crazy to some but I like this system.
Here in IE gamestop is a fookin ripoff. I guess I work out hours of entertainment per £ spent. Fallout 3 for example, you get your moneys worth many times over with that game, PC version pisses over the console version btw But, when you buy a game and finish it in 3 days as per a lot of console games, it aint so great getting a tenner deduction off a new game.
I agree on the value for money thing I tend to go for games like Farcry, Skyrim, Fallout, Mass Effect as they are long, as much as I like the MW series unless you play online (I don't) they are a waste of money as you're done in a week max. I've seen the graphics on PC games and yes they are a lot better but getting a PC laptop that is built for gaming is expensive, I got my xbox free with my phone.
And the cost of the phone is the same as decent kit for a PC Laptops are just not for serious gaming imo. Even a decent one just doesn't cut it with the really demanding games unless you pay 3 grand and i still will have heat issues and sound like a jet taking off. Heat dissipation is the major issue there
I've got a standard laptop don't think it would be much good gaming though. Got to disagree with the phone though it was a good deal. £20 per month mins texts phone for & free xbox + 2 games. I look after my phone so 2 year contract is no problem, I imagine that's how they get people as most I know wreck their phones and have to get new ones all the time.
