Note to self, avoid using words which contain 'anal' in them when pictures of near naked women appear above!

Seriously this is now boring. The fact is if Jimmy really cared about playing football for us or for any team he would take whatever they offered him as a deal, sadly he seems more interested in money which to be honest when your a footballer and have a very short career then making money to look after your future is sensible, however it feels like Jimmy has not helped himself, at the end of last season he could have taken a 50% pay cut which would still leave him earning more in a month than I do in about 4 years. If he'd done that he could have been playing every game, where he would have put himself into the shop window where he would have been seen by others clubs who might have gone out of their way to buy him. Thus taking his enormous wages of our books, giving us a transfer fee and maybe he would have got another large wage packet

why should he take a wage cut? he was asked to defer his wages not take a wage cut.the reason he earns more in a month than you do in about 4 years is cos your **** at football.your boss came up to you and asked you to take a 50% pay cut you'd tell him to ****off.

wage deferment then, the fact is the club was in trouble financially and his wages were a big part of the problem, if he cared about anything but himself then surely he would have said if it helps I defer some of my wages until the club is in a better position. Fact is, majority of his 1st 12 months he was injured and picking up a nice juicy pay cheque, he could have done a lot of good for his reputation by offering to reduce his salary on the basis of he got paid for doing f**k all.

But lets face it, we should sell him, with his wages off the bill we could get at least 2 players who could fill his role in the club

That as is it maybe, but Bullard still had it in his power to take pay cut to help the club at that difficult time, and would thus pave the way for the circumstances that Adamisme mentions. Seems like the ideal scenario to me.

thanks TigerPaul. I maybe wrong but didn't Kilbane renegotiate his contract to take a pay cut to help the club out during the financial issues.

what drugs are you on? hes the footballer who was given a massive contract by bartlett.club goes into admin so what hes paid, whatever happens the players are paid first.it's up to the club to sort the contract in thier favour.this is football not hippy heaven.in the end he did defer his wages and went on loan to ipswich.

None, i don't look like the Tiger in your avatar! Yes, there is no denying that he was given the stupid contract by naive and careless owners but like Adamisme said, Kilbane took a wage cut, Geo left without us having to pay him off by his own wishes. It's not hippy heaven as you call it, it's general courtesy to me that when your employer is financial difficulty you do your bit to help your employers and colleagues by easing any financial burdens in your control. True, he did, but it begs the question why couldn't he have done that last summer when the crisis at the club was more apparant? (loan deal at a club or cut wages in half here)

I don't usually do this, because I have no proof other than a "source", who I'm not refusing to name, just can't name.

Anyway, I've been told that AP and JB had somewhat of a "disagreement" before the end of last season, JB thought he was being rushed back, AP thought he wasn't pulling his weight. Could have something to do with it, could be bollocks.

Of course it would have been helpful if JB took a pay cut, but who can blame him for not taking one? I certainly wouldn't have, if he'd have taken a 50% cut he'd have been giving away over £2m, why should he pay £2m for somebody else's mistake? It's ridiculous what some people expect.
