Not an amazing signing but experienced cover for Agger. We really struggle without the calming influence of Agger at the back so this could help fill the gap and improve the squad depth.
He's very highly rated & has been tracked by a host of clubs (mine included). Just because he's not a 'big name' don't assume he's not a fine player. From what I've heard of him I think you could have done another good bit of business here.
If you buy to improve your first team, you get good squad depth fact. If you buy for depth then that is all you will get. I know we can't get the top tier of players but we can still find and buy some good players out there.
I've always complained that our scouting system doesn't pick up enough cheap bargains from other leagues, so I'm gonna reserve any doubts I have 'till he's played a good number of games for us If he even joins, that is.
