So I guess your not giving us a chance at all but I reckon we have more of a chance of getting a result at WHL then Arsenal tbh.

It's the media that rate Wilshere, I don't and I know many fans that don't either, just like Cleverley. The media hype Wilshere and Cleverley as if they're the successors to Lampard and Gerrard (albeit together for England they weren't great)... They'll never reach them standards.

*These views may or may not reflect reality in an objective and realistic manner. Talent and potential may appear enlarged when viewed through Gooner Goggles.

Come on, Boss. One or two supporters with artificially inflated opinions of their own players is pretty standard for most sides.

One thing for sure, United will come to attack - they always do. There won't be any of this " how are we going to break this lot down" problems.

For me, if we can compete in the midfield, and not lose RVP too many times, we might just sneak a win by the odd goal.

Yes, I know some of it is tongue in cheek yet its not far from what alot of goons believe, anyhow lets not destroy the theme of the thread by discussing a pratt that plays for the goons!

Utd love our ground, its practically their second home! going by the way they turn up and play intense direct football and score shed load of goals so I hope Villas Boas has learnt from the home game against the chavs.

Chris Foy's the ref again. I was almost certain we'd get Clattenburg so I'm glad we dodged that and got a ref who, despite being crap, has shown that he won't bow to Fergie's pressure.

Ferguson's going to be slating him in the press pre-game, then. I wonder what doubts he'll try to put into his head? Bale diving, probably.
Hopefully their game against the Spammers will take some of the focus away for a few days, at least.

He's already booked Bale for diving once this season, hasn't he? I think it's a brave ref that gives Bale as much as freekick these days it seems. The witch hunt is on.

Going back a few years, I remember Chris Foy booking Zokora for diving.

Didn't he make a balls up and give Zokora a penalty for a dive, SC? Redknapp wasn't happy... <whistle>

I am not sure PNP. The game I was thinking of was definitely against Pompey when Harry was their manager.

You're right PNP. Just checked. Don't know why I thought he had booked Zokora.

Forgive the video title, as it's the only one that I could find:

guessing you didnt see Webb yesterday, Skrtyl and Johnson were lucky to stay on the pitch and Downing dived but no booking, hope Foy doesnt deny us a penalty again, 1 out of the 3 were clear but the other 2 were no way pens in the 3 2, 2 1 at HT would have changed things

Not really in a position to complain about favourable decisions in this tie though, eh Dave?
What's that now? About 1 to a million?

Maybe, but if it happened at the other end the Liverpool fans would be complaning about it just as much as us even DL wouldnt be happy with it.

  20. Chris Foy - of the infamous Stoke away game..... Oh yes, I can really see him doing us favours!!!! <doh>

Running a book on BaconFaces per-match Press outbursts, I would favour the following Top 3:

    1. That lad Bale or whatever his name is, he seems to have a reputation for diving.... That diving lark has got to be eliminated from the game.
    2. Strange to replace a top manager like Harry Redknapp with a 'boy' who didn't cut it in the PL.

    Equal 3rd
    - The Brazilian lad, Sandro, he seems to like to leave his foot in. He could kill someone one day!!
    - Tottenham are a wee club from the South of England.
