well goldeneadie, he (shoala) is probably getting bored of the car parks on the outskirts of norwich now don't you think? it's a long old drive down from the north east.
Lots of NCFC twitterati seem to be getting their feathers in a flap over renewed gossip about Craig Mackail-Smith joining us. I don't know the source of this, but several on there seem to be taking it fairly seriously?
i'm not on twitter cromer bet there is loads of moaning if it's anything like some of the comments on the NCFC official facebook page what the source, or is it HP sauce?
Its cos he was left out of the squad on Saturday and then some random Twitter account with about 50 followers said he will be announced a norwich player tomorrow.
CMS - please don't let it be true especially at £3m!!! How on earth will he be able to take on a lone striker role!!
General consensus from Brighton fans is that he can't. When I took someone overexcited to task about this on Twitter, their response was that he will be surrounded by better players here. I think he missed the point, as lone forwards are not generally surrounded.
Is it just me, or is has this been (so far) the dullest transfer window in a long, long while for us, and in general? As far as I can see, the only real moves are Cole, Sturridge and Ba, and Ba's buyout clause has been known for ages. We've done nothing interesting, and apart from Hooper, the majority of rumours about is have been knocking about since the summer. Or am I just paying more attention this window and it's usually like this?
You forgot Debuchy, plus Remy supposedly agreed terms this afternoon. Two big players incoming. But yeah it does suck.
The way hughton says "we need to score goals" makes you think he surely is looking at better talent than the likes of CMS etc.
I am really hoping that out of nowhere, we're going to announce a player none of us have every heard of, who cost a pittance, is about 22, and is going to score 30 goals a season. I can dream.
We have been linked to a player from Gent, last name Mboyo. Has been a naughty boy in the past but is now captain of his club and been capped twice last year by Belgium.
Being imprisoned for gang rape is probably not high on Hughton or McNally's wishlists plus he has scored 26 goals in 109 games, hardly setting the world alight EDIT: sorry, shooting the messenger there a bit
Also his goal scoring record is not that much different to benteke and i wouldn't mind having him in our team. His past is exactly that, he done something stupid at a young age and there are many who have, he has sorted himself out now and i would be willing to give him a chance.
He didn't seem to have a problem with Marlon King leading the line for him at Brum, and he's done time and is a nasty scumbag.
Interesting article here about him. Highlights are that apparently he's a good target man and quite mobile, more-so than Benteke, but less bulky. He was also called a 'rare pearl' by Kompany, and is his clubs main striker. On the other hand, I (and I expect many) would find it difficult to cheer for someone sent to prison for the gang rape of a 14 year old. Obviously we don't know the full details, and only a 3 year sentence would suggest he wasn't the main offender, but still, he's more Ched Evans than Adam Drury.
Not ncfc related, well could be league wise. Loic Remy has turned down toon at the last minute to sign for the mercenaries supposedly! QPR could be about to sign 2 top players, only for the money... This is looking more and more like pompey mk2
