Who will replace Warnock in this time of managerial mayhem here are my runners
Phil Parkinson has done a great job at City on no budget can he hack it at a big club time will tell will cost very little in compensationhaving only 5 months left on his contract but will he want tl lead his team out to Wembley yes I think he will 2-1 joint fa v
Kenny Jackett don,t put your coat on thgis but I like the way he quietly goes about his job like him a lot 2-1 joint fav
ODriscoll maybe already escounsed in Blackpool 7-1
Poyet cost too much to prise away 20-1
Billy Davies would cause mayhem in a monastery to full of himself but could probably do a good job10-1
PAUL jewell I,m afraid his Jewels have tarnished and withit his future job chances33-1
Mateo too into Bates a non funner in my eyes 40-1
Hughes sorry Mark you would want too much 40-1
Di Canio interesting entry this one would certainly liven things up but probaly end up been banned for life17-2
SO its Parky or Jackett for me but lets not do a Blackburn lives is never dull at ER but we don,t want to turn it into a joke shop lets run it on the lines of Swansea get a plan and stick to it get the fans on board do that they can have a say on how the club should be run etc etc

The major problem we are now left with if Warnock stays till summer is by then Rosco, Becchio and Byram will be all gone. Even if they have any interest in staying he's doing his best to piss them off. It would cost a fortune to replace those three even without strengthening the other areas. Are gfh up to investing a fortune in team rebuilding or more importantly can they afford it? I think most Leeds fans now doubt it. They're certainly kidding themselves if they think leaving Warnock there playing goofball is going to attract fans back to Elland Road.

My bet would be that the board waits, if you appoint a new manager then you have to give them funds to spend, pop a temporary guy in charge and if he pulls things around you have saved a fortune, if he fails you say you were waiting for the right guy to become available.

Agree Ristac. Get this season over and then see what's available both on the manager and players front in the annual merry go round in June and July. If we do lose the likes of Rosco, Becchio and Byram then it will be obvious what we have in the new owners minds. Is it another "milking a club job" or are they serious about the future.

The big money is in the Premier and they must surely intend to get there (some day !)

This talk of sacking warnock feels like groundhog day. wise, grayson, mcallister. If we don't get the funding, it won't make a difference who takes over.

Yesterday was poor. No credible excuses for that performance. But regretfully I think Warnock will see out his season in charge. We will then have a worrying summer hoping that Ross, Beccs & Bayram all stay.

That said, we aren't that far away. We just need players playing where they're supposed to & doing what they're paid for. Tuesday only matters as it will give some the opportunity to pit themselves against a very good Spurs team if they get their collective fingers out. If they don't, it could get seriously embarassing.

Those calling for Warnock to stay a question - Do you not think his style of playing football is not having an effect on the likes of Ross, Becchio and Byram, do you not feel his managerial ways with those players is not forcing them to look at options? Ross - Would you sit rotting on the bench of an average championship side? Becchio is he 29 now, how much longer does he wait for Premiership football and Byram, hot talent and probably hungry for success.

Funding - Hall, Tate, Barkley, Tonge not exactly someone who has not been backed in January, YES we need more money but it might not be there if the pot has run dry. Austin, Norris, Varney, Green, Barkley, Hall, Tonge SEVEN midfielders brought in by Warnock and where is our problem, the midfield not providing enough cover and creating enough chances or that it is being bypassed with hoof ball or that it has no width, either way a problem created by the manager...

I personally feel White is very surplus to requirements but I did read someone's comment the other day which I could agree with, why not play him for an extended period at left back and see how he does. Peltier we all know is not a LB Warnock needs to hold his hands up and say a mistake, Byram has surprised me, not throw the balance out with fitting a square peg into a round hole, not just any square peg, the clubs captain.

Remember when we signed Roecastle, Wilko had to admit he was wrong and Strachan had more in the tank than he had given him credit for.

Bruce at Hull wasted(?) a good few quid on a German striker, at least he had the balls to drop him. Warnock is too stubborn and won't admit when he has got it glaringly wrong.

If a Prem club comes sniffing for Becchio then (a) Warnock will take the money and spend it on some clueless donkey and (b) Becchio, although he obviously loves the club, realises it's probably his only chance to get a few years on Premiership wages so he has a decent nest egg for when his playing days are over.

Sign Pennant who is available and put him in wide right, play Diouf wide left with Barkley and Austin/Tonge in the middle, White/Drury LB and Byram RB with Peltier and Pearce or Lees CB Becchio and McCormack up front with Somma on the bench. Ideally I would like a better LM which I thought was going to be Hall but not at the moment and of course scrap hoof ball tactics...

Warnock needs to go. We're crying out for width and he goes and signs a centre mid and plays him out wide

I am not saying that Warnock should stay. I'm just sick of the amount of managers we've gone through. Also how can the pot be empty when we've only just been taken over and the new owners haven't put any real money into the playing side.

You don't need money to build a team and a club. You need the right philosophy. And then you need a bit of time.

You do need money if you intend to get a club promoted immediately. Plus luck that you have got the right people in spending all that money. Plus the right management team to get them working well togetehr. And then when it doesn't work, you need money again to feed the next short-term "building" of the team.

Who was it that said, if you keep on doing the same thing over and over again, you should expect the same things to happen over and over again?

If they get rid now, we won't have a manager before the window closes. They will then have to work through the rest of the season with a bunch of inherited donkeys.

    Sound familiar?

Not the way to get fans back in unfortunately... :bandit:

spot on. It will never be possible to say what these managers would have don or not done if they had decent backing. We have had net sales of about £3m a year throughout the Bates era. Unless GFH change that we can expect more of the same whoever is manager.

I was not a fan of NW before he came here, but I get sick of fans blaming the manager for everything when we don't know if the things he has done are because he had no option, rather than being his real preference

I'd be calling for Warnock's head if there were any obvious candidates to replace him. As it is no-one stands out.

I just fear he will sell one of Becchio, Byram or McCormack to fund a signing like Blackstock which would be bad news IMHO
