Wasnt Dougie Wilson a short lived highly successful loanee under Brian Horton? Around the same time we had Peter Barnes on loan. edit - I'll answer my own question, just remembered it was Dougie Bell (I think).
Aluko out with injury. Was his previous problem his Achilles? If so this could turn into a long term problem.
First good news I've heard all day Someone needs to get an urgent message to SB to play Dougie from the start, we are a dead cert to win if that happens.
Yes he has had an achilles injury, which is why Bruce will be giving him a rest. Wouldnt worry too much about it as I would think almost all the 10 outfield players who started saturday will also be rested
The second string should be good enough to win the game regardless. I'd maybe put the odd first-teamer such as Aluko in there just because I think he needs to score a goal or something to boost his confidence. But the likes of Hobbs, Faye, Meyler can all stay at home with their feet up for me. Mind you I've just read that Aluko's injured so I'd go with the same XI as the first leg.
I dont think that any of the 10 outfield players who started saturdays game will be involved @ Orient. It would be an act of gross folly to do so. The squad 11 have to make amends and let them so so. I agree. Put right what they fooooked up in the home game. There reward should they win...... The Barnsley game.
Yes but i would also expect Citys coaching staff to be working on that with the Jak in training as well.
Freezing cold night at Brisbane Road, balls flying in from all over the place - he is gonna love the pressure he'll be under. He bottled it on Saturday and I dont have much hope for him down there. Hope I am wrong like.
Lets see what Jakupovic is made of then eh ? tuesday training should have him doing that same thing in advance.
