Why are you playing players out of position just so they fit in your team ?

    ------------Fabianski

    Stepanovs Squillaci Cygan Silvestre

That's a pretty damn poor back four.

As for midfielders and forwards most would be from before the Wenger era.

A lot of the players people have mentioned are from the Wenger era...probably the most successful in Arsenals history.

Surely the bulk of any all time worst 11 should come from the barren years?!

Consequently, this thread so far has nothing to do with the all time worst 11 but more the worst 11 most posters have seen/ can remember.

Fabianski doesn't deserve to be anywhere near a worst XI. He's, at times, been fantastic for us.

Fabianski is actually one of the worst goalkeepers we've had since i started supporting Arsenal. In the time that i've supported Arsenal we have had some very good/excellent goalkeepers e.g.Bob Wilson,Jimmy Rimmer,Pat Jennings,Seaman etc.

Off the top of my head Tommy Caton (never really seemed to play that well), Julio Baptista a few good games but largely seemed to enjoy the food on offer, David Grondin and last but not least Chris Cwimoya (sp).

Well spotted seemed longer ago to me mind you the pre- Wenger era is a long time ago (light years in Arsenal terms)

Anyway Carter was not all bad he was a Gooner as a boy and hopefully still is.

Caton was once thought of as a future England captain but by time he came to us his career had been blighted by injuries.Grondin was the French youth team captain but only played a couple of LC games for us.He went back to France on loan and never returned.Kiwomya was just a desperate transfer deadline signing by George Graham.

You sold someone called David Jenkins to us (around 1970?) actually as part of a swap for Jimmy Robertson I think.

He was particularly bad. I once saw him pick up a ball about 10 yards in near the half way line, totally unmarked and ran straight of the pitch with it.

Fabianski isn't that bad but when you compare him with some of our keepers over the last 30yrs he's definately down the list

Fabianski has actually been really unlucky in his time with Arsenal. He found his best form for us in the 2010/11 season but then injured his shoulder and then Chensey replaced him. Also, IMO he made the best save I have seen at the Emirates.
