How well has anybody ever gotten on with Ade? He seems to have rubbed up the wrong way just about every manager he has ever played for.
I'm really pissed off with him. Ever since he has gotten what he wanted - his new contract, he now seems to feel that 100% effort is something for everybody else, but not him.

  2. I can only think of one poster on here who might be able to add some fact to the speculation of how Ade interacts with management and players at Spurs. But whilst he is clearly not at his best right now, I can only look at how the team respond to him on the pitch and in that regard all seems pretty positive.
But if Spurcat or anyone else closer to the club can suggest otherwise then I will bow to their greater knowledge.

Well its not a "great" result. Don't overestimate yourself mate. A "great" result would be a draw at United or City.

It was a decent enough result but you have to realise the predicament we're in. If we was mid-table then a draw at home to the 3rd/4th placed side in the league would be a decent result but considering we're 5 points cut adrift of 17th place, these games turn into "must wins".

Having said that, I was very impressed with you yesterday. You've got some real good players and a very good up and coming young manager. This is the season to topple the Gooners lads, don't throw it away. Its in your hands now.

I wish you the best of luck in your quest boys. <ok>

I still think the grounds give you different feelings from a players point of view.
QPR's stands look as though there almost on the pitch whereas Spurs's gives the players a more "roomier" aspect.
Pitch size or no pitch size!

274 goal scoring opportunities, the highest in the league, suggests a playmaker creating more chances is not going to make much difference to converting them. We do need one, but he won't change where 'the finish' ends up.

Does that include the 21 shots on goal against swansea that no one at the game saw?

This isn't about overestimating us, it was more about a reality check for some of your posters. Just because you got a surprise away win at Chelsea, it doesn't make every game against the top 5 a "must win". Must wins are beating those around you and the clubs who sit around mid table. Harry got it spot on by trying not to lose. A gung-ho approach to try and win, and it could have been detrimental to your goal difference. You're asking too much if its now a case of "must wins" against the top clubs. Picking up draws home or away is great, as others around you will struggle to do the same. - there's still enough points out there against those around you and the mid table clubs. Harry's a damn good manager, but demanding wins against the top 5 is asking a little too much.

I wasn't disappointed after the match on Saturday,in fact I was quite relieved but after the two results yesterday I am now disappointed that we didn't win it. We were third in the table and did enough to win it and they are bottom. Even taking the Harry factor into consideration we should still have won it.

Ade continues to disappoint me,i though after he signed for us his goalscoring would improve, instead he seems to be getting worse,he will never get an easier chance than the one on Saturday

There's not much point talking about how"good" he was last season with his tap is etc because he went missing for 7 matches on the trot a couple of times. You all talked about his hold up play being a good substitute for his lack of goals. I never did accept that as an alternative as he is paid to score goals and he isn't this season. I don't want to fall out with you lads but I've been waiting for this.

Sorry mate, I don't know what you mean? Myself, I don't class the term 'opportunities' to just mean shots, Lennon for example, when its been odds on for a shot, he's passed, and its come to nothing, but the opportunity for Lennon to score was still there. Perhaps I'm wrong.

Was just tounge in cheek as you remember after the swansea game at home, bbc had us down as having 21 or 25 shots on target and fans were claiming we're creating lots of chances, but after the game yourself & SC we're taking the mick as no one actually saw any of these chances at the game!

AM not sure how these stats are put together, but I don't see us creating many clear cut chances or what they class as opportunities?

I wouldn't read too much into these stats. Reading were quite high up that table too, but as desperate efforts endangering the corner flag when chasing the game are included, the figures will be skewed in their favour.

I don't take them as gospel as you well know Luke, not now a certain Villa fan has disappeared.:)

Its a guide thats all, it may also include JD's shots straight at a forest of defenders legs, you could argue there was no opportunity in the first place, he should have passed. I'm sure their are anomilies to doubt the final figure, but loosely there must be something in it, and I'm sure there is, using JD still, in average form, he still needs 10 shots to convert one! Thing is thats 9 build ups that have come to nothing, I think its more about that.

I think Harry got it right as well. If we had of played open we would have been mullered by your wide men. A point isn't a bad result but again I would say that you are overestimating yourself if you think any Premier League team is ever going to think a draw at home to Spurs is a "great" result. A win, perhaps. A draw, no. A draw away to Spurs would be a very good result but still not "great". A win away to Spurs, now that would be great. A draw at Old Trafford would probably be great. You see where I'm coming from?

Mate, with respect, but I don't think you realise the sh*t we're in. 14 points from 22 games is absolutely horrendous considering all the money we spent. And because we're a small Club with all these mercenaries on huge wages (one of our Keepers is on 5 and a half million a year!), the thought of being relegated fills me with utter dread. Images of Pompey and Luton keep flashing up in my mind at night. We have gotten ourselves into such a desperate position that, for those reasons, we have to beat good teams now just to stay in it. When you lose to all the other sh*t teams, you put yourself in a situation where not winning against the good teams is not good enough.

I know you've not been in a relegation scrap for God knows how long so I know its hard for you to understand but that's just the way it is.

A draw is 2/3 of a loss. Draws won't get fourth for Spurs or safety for QPR. So I can see how nobody should really be all that happy with this draw.
